ORLANDO, Fla. -- The lawyer for George and Cindy Anthony, grandparents of slain toddler Caylee Anthony, is promising a court fight to keep them from having to give sworn depositions Thursday.
If nothing happens, on Thursday George and Cindy Anthony are under subpoena to testify under oath about Fernandez-Gonzalez.
The Anthony's lawyer said attorney John Morgan's plan to depose the Anthonys in front of the press is ludicrous. He plans to ask a judge to at least postpone the depositions until the Anthonys are in better shape psychologically to answer more questions. "They're both fragile emotionally and they need to recover but it'll take a little bit of time. I don't want them going in there without a clear head," attorney Brad Conway said. Lee Anthony is scheduled to testify Friday. His lawyer said he does not plan to block the deposition because Lee knows nothing about Fernandez-Gonzalez and will say so.
Roy Kronk's attorney has sent Leonard Padilla a letter that demands he stop what Kronk considers personal attacks on various national platforms. Kronk's attorney, David Evans, who also represents WESH-TV, said he's documenting every Padilla statement and will consider action against him. Padilla responded to the letter by saying if Kronk wants a legal fight, he should "saddle up."
