There’s no need to trace the victim’s’ activities leading up to the lunch. The lunch was what poisoned them
Her story is full of inconsistencies and I believe at some point she will be charged.
Do you have a link that proves the lunch poisoned them? I haven't seen anything that proves that statement.

Can't read it, but whatever it was happened 19 years ago - as per the title - so I doubt its relevance to the current deaths. The Australian scraping the bottom of the barrel Imo.

It was all when she was younger. (paraphrased, and stated to be from court records in the article)

Lost her license for 30 months in 2004 and was fined $1,000 for crashing her vehicle in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, she was heavily intoxicated, and she failed to stop after hitting 95km/h in a 60km/h zone.

The five charges were failing to stop a vehicle after an accident, failing to give her name and address after damaging property, using an unregistered vehicle on a highway, using an unregistered vehicle, and speeding 95k/hr in a 60 k/hr zone.

A sixth charge of a blood alcohol reading of 0.14 was struck out because it was dealt with in another charge, according to a certified record.

19 years ago, she was 29 years old.

The rest of the article regurgitates what we already know.

Thank you

One interesting thing in The Australian article is they name EP's lawyer (because they asked him for comment about the driving offences - he said his client doesn't have a comment on a drink-driving charge from 19 years ago).

He is Bill Doogue. 30 years experience as a criminal lawyer.

" ..... currently ranked as one of the 5 pre-eminent criminal lawyers in Australia by the Doyle’s guide."

"Bill appeared for high ranking church officials at a number of Royal Commission hearings.
Bill has appeared for and advised, both current and former Liberal and Labour Politicians from both State and Federal parliaments in relation to allegations against them"

Victoria public health has a contact tracing team. After all, they were so thorough during covid.

I’m presuming they undertook contact tracing for this case. Imo

He’s not the lawyer in the photos of Erin taken by The Age today… or was that her PR lady? The one dresssed as an undertaker, all in black…

Well spotted.

I also noted this statement, again from a “friend”:
The friend told The Daily Mail on Wednesday that the Patterson and Wilkinson families, like Simon, harboured doubts about her version of events.
To me this is suggestive of a lack of trust toward EP, maybe things were not as “amicable” as she has stated.
What makes me really uncomfortable with everything that EP has said both publicly in her comments and also in her police statement, is that her answers / explanations all VERY conveniently happen to explain away every minute detail in order to paint things in a certain way…to the extent that in her attempt to ‘cross every t and dot every i’, what she has said appears both over-produced and contrived, that in the end it comes across as fake or BS.
Example, her tearless over-the-top interview talking about her fondness for the inlaws and the amicable relationship was so OTT and gushing, that as has been highlighted above, the reality seems it’s not as cosy a relationship as she paints!

Hmm not forthcoming then with giving details to the police either!

All mainstream media statements from hospital professionals and law enforcement suspect the lunch.

Just as when there have been e-coli outbreaks from chain restaurants in the past, the last meal ingested is always viewed as the toxic one.

Here is daily mail not under a pay wall about her drunk driving escapade. 29 year old isn't exactly a teenager either.

"The charges included failing to stop a vehicle after an accident, failing to give a name or address after causing property damage, using an unregistered vehicle on a highway and failing to give her name or address when property was damaged."

It's the lying under pressure that interests me.

(Starts about the 30 min mark in the video)

So, EP did go to the nearest dump (apparently). Glad I relistened to that part! I thought she went to the further away dump for some unknown reason. o_O

Private Investigator: She's decided to go to the tip in Koonwarra [the tip closest to her house], and on speaking with the workers there, interestingly, without saying when did she come or anything like that, one of them stated to us that "I don't know because I wasn't working Saturday morning".

Liz Hayes: Saturday morning, that's the morning of the lunch.
PI: Yeah, which doesn't make sense. There was CCTV footage, so the police will have that and they can work out when it was.

PI: So what a lot of workers said down there, look they've been told not to say anything to media, so they basically said the police were here on Tuesday looking for, I think it was, microwave trays and other utensils. So, you know, they're wondering what she did dump there and if there's a chance she did dump other kitchen utensils and things there.

Former Major Crimes Detective: They wouldn't have gone just to that tip. They would have gone to every tip in the area. And they would have interviewed all the relevant witnesses, all the people that were present, obtained all the exhibits.

How many wrong stories were circulated about this already, even prior to this programme?
what else is inaccurate?

we have already examined these possibilities.
Yes, of course. I was simply trying to lay out the various scenarios which could have led to this poisoning and to describe some of the stumbling blocks for each one.

I hope no one thought that I was presenting these as new ideas that I just came up with. Apologies if that wasn't clear.

We do not know who had access to her house or her ingredients.
That is not the same as suggesting she had sole access to everything in her kitchen cupboards.
We do not know.

This is true. But in terms of someone else poisoning the meal, I think it's worthwhile to consider how it could have happened.

I see a few different possibilities:
  1. One of the guests brought additional food or drink which was poisoned - Who would have been the target, then? Maybe not Eric because it doesn't seem she consumed this item. Also, I would think that Erin would have mentioned in her statement if others had brought dishes. Still, if someone else did poison the meal, I think this is probably the most likely scenario.
  2. One of the guests poisoned the Wellington or another dish prepped by Erin - Less likely in my opinion just because it would have been difficult to count on gaining unfettered access to the food before they ate. And again, how did Erin avoid the toxin?
  3. Another person known to the family who wasn't at the dinner poisoned the food - Who was the target? Could it have been Erin or even the children? If so, it backfired spectacularly. Did they count on Erin using those exact ingredients to prepare this exact dish? I think that too much could go wrong in any real world scenario unless the perpetrator just didn't care about collateral damage.
  4. A stranger broke into the house and poisoned the food - I won't say too much about this one, except that I consider it far-fetched.
I hope it's clear that I'm not trying to dismiss alternative theories. I'm more than willing to entertain them. But I also want to scrutinize them instead of just saying that anything is possible.
