Looks like Maverick finally cracked :) I noticed he used the term aliens and so did I a while back, which will convince the previous Miss Marple who decided we were one and the same person that they're correct :p Ah well.

Firstly I apologise if my posts sound pompous or whatever I was accused of a while back (sarcastic maybe, can't remember) - I'm just trying to stay to the point and not say anything libellous.

Maverick was right pointing out GBC has said he last saw his wife at 10PM when he went to bed. This has been repeated in the press and police statements and they have withdrawn the misinformation that he said Allison went for a late night walk. This is backed up by links to media in the previous 80 pages of this thread and its predecessor. I'm not going back to copy and paste them).

No one has stated when Gerard Baden-Clay stated he thinks Allison went for a walk, only that she failed to return from a walk. At 7.30 am the amount of time she had been gone, or delayed, was apparently enough to make him call police. (Also backed up by previous posts media links).

The mistress who apparently can't help but getting dragged into the murder investigation has nothing to do with the defunct Kenmore Remax office or the Kenmore roundabout investigation. I don't have a press link for this, you'll just have to trust me (and totally your choice, I'm just another random poster, but I would like to think we stick to comments with some vague sort of factual foundation). The 'hints' dropped that I have queried a couple of times are completely inaccurate. The person these probing insights lead to is NOT the person interviewed by police. (Again, trust me, or not, but don't trust someone who keeps posting hints and then refuses to back them up). I have no reason to protect the reputation of a poor stranger, except common decency. The internet lives a long time.

I don't know how the husband would know what Allison was wearing on her walk but most likely because it was a regular walking outfit or the clothes that seemed to be missing from her wardrobe.

He is not a "suspect" nor a "person of interest". Police have not "labeled" him nor anybody else. Police calls them all "witnesses" who they have interviewed. He is the father of the children and they can't legally prevent him from looking after his kids. He has not been charged with anything.

Not sure if this has already been clarified as I still have some pages to catch up on, but on the day A's body was found, Met Nth Chief Superintendent Ainsworth was asked by a reporter if GBC was a suspect. His response was that he couldn't comment - not "No (he's not)".

The PE teacher out the school my kids go to gets paid $95k a year and has 12 weeks holidays, the principal is on $250k. I do not agree and I deal with the area enough to know what I am talkingabout. depends on what school, but the best schools the teachers get paid a lot more than state schools. But you can think what you want.

As a teacher who has taught in both state and private schools, I am telling you that you are wrong. There is only one private school in Brisbane that pays above state school wages. I know this because I am involved in the union issues. I don't think I am right, I know I am right as I deal with DIRECTLY with it. But you can think what you want, I am not going to denigerate this thread by arguing about facts that I know to be correct. After reading this thread over the last week I understand people's frustration with the arguing.

My thoughts are with Allison's girls and parents. She was a brilliant Vice Captain at school, it is a sad sad time.

That's what I've been wondering. Someone who seems as impecable as Allison would be unlikely to have gotten out of bed and put on the same clothes she had on the night before IMO

maybe its late and been a long week but I had never thought of this and I think its a really relevant thing.
The first thing the police do ask and would have asked is "when did you last see her and what was she wearing"? So bascially and from what we are led to believe his answer was the following
"Last night at 10pm watching TV and in the said clothes"
Was this her standard walking gear I wonder? It certainly looked like walking gear. If so what was she doing in this gear at 10pm at night with presumably no intention to go walking at this time of night.

I am trying to keep an open mind but its really frustrating. I mean where does a woman go at 10pm at night on her own in a semi rural area????
A light stroll...??

Has anyone read in news reports today that the kids were in fact not there on Thursday night?? someone just told me they thought this was the case but I hadnt read this..???

There is a nice amount of photos in that article.......I nearly cry when I see the flowers :(

Interesting on the layout of this article, media don't have anything much that is new today
but interesting how this article has been laid out with the photos........http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/que...hters-killer-parents-plea-20120504-1y2iz.html

IN PARTICULAR AT THE END ........... VERY SMART JOURNALIST!!

If you watch the footage in the news snippet at the top of that article you will see they do an aerial view of the bridge where the body was found and includes footage looking beneath the bridge and you can see the body lying at the high water mark. There are two police/investigators standing below the body pointing up towards it. I saw similar footage to this a few days ago and was trying to relocate it (so I could link it). The body and crime scene has usually been blurred out in most other news footage. IMO that footage puts an end to any suggestion it was suicide (as some people have suggested) given the positioning of the body directly below the bridge. Also, it appears to be at a high water mark and it's very muddy all along the bank which makes me think the body has been washed down the river to that location (unless where it is is intertidal--I think someone might have said that previously). That said, to me it has the appearance of flooding.

please stay on topic and go and discuss the merits of teachers wages elsewhere it is not even slightly relevant to Allison BC.

me too as only time to get it on the line before work/ school etc, dont this for years now

I sleep erratically and have been up at 2 or 3, making coffee, hanging at washing and mopping floors on occasion.. I don't think this can be considered unusual...we all have different routines

Are u referring to the "just got into the car"?

Heading Title - then photo underneath

then towards the end of page read from "Mr Dickie wept on the shoulder of a police officer" then see last photo.

the creek has tides from 1m to 2.7m. I'm not a local, but I think the appearance of the muddy banks is caused by the tidal variations, not flooding. correct me someone if I'm wrong

...and at the time this footage was taken it was low tide (1m). at the time the body was possibly dumped, the water level was 2.3 / 2.7m. Quite possible in the dark of the night (little, to no moon) he stupidly assumed he dumped her in deep water

Apparently the kids were home but I think that has come from local knowledge. Nothing listed in media releases that I have found.

I just think it's weird that she gets up and puts exactly the same outfit on. If that's her walking gear why would she be wearing it the night before?

I wonder if Allison was planning on going for a walk on Thursday night instead of Friday morning due to her busy Friday that she had planned? Might account for why she was wearing her walking clothes?

good point! wouldn't GBC have told that bit of info to the police though at the time, especially if he has had nothing to do with this. See where I am coming from here. It would simply strenthen your case if you were 100% innocent wouldnt it. "I knew she was wearing her walking gear because she was going for a walk that night because she wouldnt have time in the morning cause she had a real busy schedule on the Friday"

If you DIDNT mention it, it would be quite odd REALLY dont you think?

It was reported in the courier mail today that Allison tucked the girls in and something about how Allison always goes for a morning walk but returns before the girls wake up, and that this time she was not there to greet them. I tried to find the link but could not.

Totally agree. Does not look like tidal variation to me, from the bit I remember of that creek. Also would be unusual for police and SES to search so far upstream if nothing made them suspect the person responsible had been up there.

Lets try and support the work of the police as well. They have been aggressively investigating this weird and tragic scenario from day 1. That is more attention than any other case has ever received. I think they realised that all the information gathered early on would pay dividends down the track in the investigation. They have also held their cards close to their chest which I believe is incredibly intelligent. They probably knew it was ABC the moment she was removed from the creek but waited a few days to confirm to the public, they constantly release snippets of information but nothing that would explain what happened at the crime face. For example, they ask the public- have you seen the family cars at the roundabout between this time? Yet the police have not stated why this time is significant or why the cars of the family would be driven at this time. There were screams - but there is again speculation as to whether these were 4km or 2.5 km away. The police let us think ABC walked at 10pm but then state she could possibly have been disposed of at 8pm. We don't know why the poilce have reacted to the situation but a family with a violent altercation history such as GBC almost inevitable lands up with dealings with the police and this in itself means that they would have profiles of both of them on file. All this misinformation is useful to the police - people around the crime who tell the truth are able to consistently tell their story over and over. Those who lie are not able to keep up with the stories and lies they have told previously. Bbeing deliberately vague and giving broad brush explanations the police are going to give themselves the best result in honing in on someone who is lying and find the perpertrator.

Here is what I wrote:

This has been my concern for a while now, think about it, how much do top criminal lawyers/barristers get paid? And... how many cases do they take on at one time ( talking criminal law here, not conveyancing work)
How much do the police get paid? and how many cases do they have going at one time?

And before people start saying "what has money got to do with it"

It is a reality that you get what you pay for and this explains why private school teachers get paid more than state school teachers, why specialists get paid more than GP's etc etc.

He has from day one had expert criminal lawyers ( and now a QC) who specialise in criminal law, who are expert at dealing with the police, who know how the police work, who know how the system works and there is a very good reason they get paid a bomb.

People joke about OJ Simpson, but the fact was he had that many lawyers ad barristers that they outmatched the prosecuters and the jury was confused, the just have said as much sice which you would all know.

The police are used to shmucks that crack up pressure and fess up, they are ot used to someone lawyering up straight away and they are not used to having to ditch their most effective tactic which is scare and bluff and get the person to crack.

This is nothing new and a lot of people on here would know exactly what I mean, money talks and bullsh1t walks, as I have said before, this is one time I would love to be proved wrong and if my opinion is totally wrong, then I will be glad
