What about on line gambling? I can imagine him being a bit of a Sporting Bet fan and perhaps cards as well? Gambling addiction (or alchohol/drugs/*advertiser censored*/prostitutes) puts huge financial strain on a marriage especially if it is a hidden addiction and spouse finds out that's why the mortgage is behind/credit cards not paid etc. Could be a combination of a few of the above?
 
That's probably true but he must have taken them somewhere he was comfortable with because he took them out of the car ..... that cemetery looks like it has huge bowells.

One of the state governments even introduced random testing, I can't remember which one it was. Ice has certainly taken over now but it wasn't around like it is now, smoked through a pipe or a needle. I wasn't suggesting he was a junkie but by the same time there are some high profile functioning users that I know of.

The house looking more than a bit run down could be depression, could be that his hips are playing up now he's in pain and can't do the maintenance on it. I don't know.

Here is an interesting read on the lengths the WAPOL went to in order to put Daniel Morcombe's killer away. Makes me wonder what WAPOL did in that critical time period after identifying BRE and the arrest with particular focus to his online activities and physical movements. Even if he used TOR to hide his activity I wonder if he had time to pull the plug on his CPU on the morning of the arrest...

I would suggest that engaging in online gambling is certainly a possibility. It is also a 'positive reinforcement' oriented behavioural addiction which shares much of the same neurological/neurochemical processes as sex/*advertiser censored* addictions. Actually, neurologically gambling addiction is so similar to substance-related addictions in how it affects the brain that it has actually been placed in the same category in the DSM 5 despite there not being a substance introduced but simply behavioural engagement, which leads to increased desire for reinforcement and compulsivity.

I suppose it would be called unlawful killing I don't know if it has ever been used as a defence probably wouldn't get to court as there is a test to prove if a person has it and the person would have no idea that they had done it so there would be no intent, unlike this case.

Hips are playing up!.... can't do the maintenance!

Looking at all the pics over time, house has been in that state for years.

Bad hips for 15 years.

Doubt there were many neighbours around to worry about at the time he was committing these murders. MHO Think the cemetery would very dark, very deserted, and...very creepy!:candle:

It is a physical disorder caused by malfunction of the Dopamine receptors. After various violent incidents I punchedmy partner in the face then after attempted to stab him. I went to a specialist who found what the problem was I had no idea that I was attacking my partner. The medication fixed the problem.

Our son has been a clinical drug rehab counsellor for over 10 years and we often sit and discuss his work. He's even told me, and this did my heart glad, "Mum, sometimes, when I don't know what to say to a client I think , what would Mum say?" I have to laugh, there's that old "mother s***" he says we Mums have goin' on! Thank you for your very clear description of what takes place in the brain, fascinating.

I wonder about VPN services and browsers like TOR. Sure you can "hide" your IP with these services and your web browsing is masked on your ISP's logs, but what about at the other end. They actually know what your real IP is because you hit their servers with it and they know what IP their server has assigned you on the way out into anon-land. Therefore they could and probably no doubt do know what you accessed . I've never seen a server that doesn't have logs, by nature they have logs...

Who's to say these services are trashing their logs every hour? Who's to say these companies don't have backups of their servers that actually do contain logs. Not to mention perhaps they would hand over that information...

Yes and No. Some VPNs really keep no logs... some say they keep no logs but actually do. But tor bounces your IP through dozens of IPS on the way there and back so each Ip only knows 1 IP away. SO the host and client dont know each others IPs
