About schools in the western suburbs.....there was mainly private schools, and independent or specialist schools (international, Japanese, hearing impaired) in the area.

EDIT: There was only a few state run high-school in the western suburbs....... whoops I forgot about Hollywood SHS, City Beach SHS, and Swanbourne SHS (Thanks posters above)

Most school age residents (without special needs etc) in the western suburbs either went to private school or to these 3 state-run schools.
The private school choices for girls were: Iona, MLC, PLC, St Hildas, or JTC (co-ed).


And just to clarify: Santa Maria College in Attadale was definitely a Catholic all-girls boarding college, even in the 90's.

Here is a link regarding the state run high schools in the western suburbs. I was one of those who was actively protesting about the closure of Hollywood, Swanbourne High schools and remember it well.

Maybe BRE's footy shorts were 'tight' like earlier style footy shorts from the 70's and 80's????
Hopefully "Bogsy" didn't ruin his footy shorts?
Or did he come-up-short somehow?

EDIT: did BRE play footy with Crocs in 2007? because in 2007, the Crocs inaugural year, the team all wore boxer shorts at the last game of the season.

I think there was some type of Shorts competition and the team wore different types of shorts - the accused wore gold shorts (in one of the pics), which was obviously a hit as he then got the Title 'Shorts Edwards'. I think this is what occurred.

Apparently every year the club had an annual tradition of them all dressing in boxer shorts and having a photo taken. He probably got the name because his were golden and silky as per the photo...

It's the short of thing that a wife might buy to raise a flagging libido. I wonder if the wife of the accused might of bought them for him and he fished them out of the draw for this? I wonder if he got the message and bought her some cable ties in return?

It has been raised by several different posters over the 12 threads that there's a possible connection with Iona. IMO this is a coincidence which is what I was trying to back up with facts. Sarah was a boarder so if she chose to board at an all girls Catholic school in the Western suburbs Iona was her only choice as Loreto closed in 1976 (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loreto_Convent,_Claremont), similarly if Ciara was a Catholic and/or wanted to go to an all girls Catholic school Iona is in the same suburb that she lived. Jane didn't go to Iona and I feel terrible for Lorrin Whitehead and her family but I would be very surprised if her disappearance is related to the CSK, but this is my opinion and others are certainly entitled to a different one.
