The audio of KT's father John Turner being interview on 6PR radio 25 years later, June 28th 2016 is very good for maybe clearing up what she was wasn't doing. Not hitchhiking by the sound of it, she didn't have time. She was just crossing the street when the car pulled up behind her. Probably one person. A person called out to her and she want and spoke to the person and got in the car. Car blue similar to a Datson, but the spoked wheel were what the two witnesses couldn't stop looking at.

What happened to Kerry Turner? Kerry Turner's father has renewed calls for information about her murder, which remains unsolved 25 years on. Audio: 6PR June 28[SUP]th[/SUP] 2016
John Turner (KTs Dad):
She got a taxi and ah, she didnt have enough money on her to pay to come up to home, meaning Mum and Dads home. And so, the taxi driver dropped her in Vic Park. It was lit up, it was an all night café, Affaire I think it was called. Its long since closed.
Now the interesting thing is she was walking across the street, and a car sped up and stopped, umm behind her, as she was on her way across the street, Shepparton Road. And the, the person in the car called out and Kerry turned around and walked back to the car, spoke to the person and then got in the car. That was the last time she was seen alive that we know about.
Presenter: Has there been any other leads, you know, other than the last sighting of her. And I think the car was described as a Datson 260 C, dark blue in colour
JT:
thats right or something similar
Presenter
something similar
JT:
Yea, with spoked wheels, yea.
Presenter: O
K thats a fairly distinctive car, I suppose
JT:
There were two witnesses in the café, and they, and thats what they were looking at. You know, the wheels in particular
anyway carry on.
Presenter: And so, the police has obviously chased down any vehicles that are similar or close to it and nothing has ever come of that lead?
JT:
No. And I kind of wonder if it was an Eastern States car, you never know do ya?
Presenter:
No. No.
JT
And, so yes we remain hopeful, and ah, we know that there are people that know something.
