What were they used for, was it like an over pyjamas thing or something else??

I had one very similar to it back in the late 70's or '80's. I would have been in my teens at the time. It was white with lovely embroidery on the back but mine was not silk (more like a rayon/cotton mix).

It wore it over pj's. It was just a short, lightweight robe for use in warmer seasons. Someone gave it to me as a gift but I cannot remember who it was. I have a feeling it was obtained from an overseas trip. It was a lovely garment though and I think mine just wore out in the end until I threw it away.

Not only won’t he talk, he will believe he is innocent, he has got away with it for so long, he would have been planning his defence for years.


Again police need to work out what he truly loves and use that as leverage.

He certainly did in the CIA documentary, I'd have assumed they would try to make that as accurate as possible, but I am still unsure if her leaning into the car happened or not, but why put it in if it did not happen? The doco was done with the assistance of the police so I just can't see it not being what their info said happened.

Bayens described the person as 'tall, impressive and carried himself with the authority of a policeman'. Some posters clearly dont accept this theory but the DNA Technology in 2008 was less advanced and some of the DNA links are very recent. WAPOL has stated that BRE wasnt on their radar until other cases/matters were revisited. I still say BRE was the person stopped that night. Its inexplicable that he could have even come onto the Police radar any other way. His name/details would have been recorded on Operational Running Sheets that night. However, time will tell.

Heads must roll if this is true, its beyond incompetence, its downright dangerous not acting upon someone clearly setup to abduct or kill.

As I said earlier I'm pretty sure you'll find it's a scam site and not an actual dating/hook-up site.

Maybe they're using fake profiles as most scam sites do then...could be using names of deceased people so they dont get in trouble?

my friend were thinking where they can take me for birthday drinks then one of my friend said lets of to claremont and my second mate said you watch i bet you a girl will go missing.. we drove there then taxi home it was pretty busy in the pub and im pretty shore it was raining too.the area im from is balga.

First up great work sleuths, it's been a thoroughly engrossing experience reading through all the threads over the past week and a bit.

I live in Perth, and was a kid in the 90's, so whilst I was aware of what was happening I was pretty young when the events were taking place. Since the arrest I've become fascinated with the case and BRE. I recently stopped through Claremont while in the area and spent some time walking around the area. One thing I noticed is the telstra exchange at the top of the hill (number 1 Congdon St). It's approx 1km west from Bay View Tce. It's a large, old industrial building with multiple levels, flanked by an auto mechanics on the south side and a residential house on the north. A laneway runs along the back of the building, and there's a vehicle (roller door) entrance into the side of the building as well.
Have any of you ever speculated about the use of this exchange by the killer?
It seems perfectly situated close to the area, (I reason he couldn't & wouldn't want to drive far with the victims) but it was the rear access laneway, and vehicle roller door which chilled me a bit when I was standing outside.

People on here have and it wouldn't have raised any suspicion a Telstra van going into a Telstra exchange at any hour.

Have WAPOL checked the exchange? Don't know.
Should they? IMO there is more than enough compelling evidence to do so, apologies to WAPOL if they have already done a thorough search of the site.

I knew the background and circumstances of a particular offender who has spent very little of his life on "the outside". I went to visit him once shortly after he had been recaptured for re-offending after a couple of months on the 'outside'.

As I was leaving the prison I bumped headlong into his mother and siblings who were going in for a visit. On seeing me his mother said to me, "Oh ******* - I really don't understand why he does these things"

Whilst comforting her I was thinking, "I might have insight - but I can't share it right now". This poor woman would have had plenty of opportunity over many, many years to notice his behaviour had she but known what to look out for.

Denial is a driving and powerful force!!

I very much doubt that the significant women in his life (BE) would suspect him as the CSK - however they may have noticed somewhat aberrant behaviours in the bedroom and in his moods.

In general - we all of us - all the time cloak ourselves in varying levels of denial. Easier to understand things in hindsight.

Also some reports say she gave you guys the bird and told you where to go. Some reports say she politely waved you off but I've got a feeling this isn't true. Which was it? I think that would give valuable insight into her state of mind at the time.

Yep there are some people who enable these people but not addressing their behaviour, I have seen exactly this, "oh well she has always been like that" comes to mind as if that makes it ok.

They will be in denial for a little bit. .but a part of them already knows it is entirely possible. He would have said some off things that just got passed off as odd or dark humour..
I also see him as being easily angered and I'm sure they have seen his short fuse on numerous occasions.
Theres no way you'd think anyone you were close to was a serial killer...maybe odd...dark..or irritable...

I have been into a couple of telephone exchanges when I was a child and teen due to father's work and from what I saw, there was a lot of banks of telephone equipment, arranged in narrow aisles (like bookshelves in a library) and if I were taking someone there to do them harm, I'd be afraid they'd damage the equipment if there was a struggle. Also, blood would likely go everywhere (and into some tight nooks and crannies of the wiring and electronic boards which were quite exposed) and cleaning up would be extremely difficult and risky.

In my opinion, using a telephone exchange (at least the inside of one) would be an unlikely scenario. You'd be bound to miss cleaning up specks of blood on all the equipment and paperwork (heavy manuals were on bookshelves).The outside might be an option, however (if the exchange was located a long way from houses).

Just my opinion.

Fairly new here too but have been watching for a while. Yes, I thought about the Telstra Exchanges. He's probably got keys to all of them and interestingly Jane Rimmer's and Ciara Glennon's bodies were dumped exactly 18.5 and 19kms from the furtherest most outer Telstra exchange in the entire region. I'm going to hazard a guess Sarah Spiers is 19 or 20kms from the furtherest Telstra Exchange heading out from the Great Eastern Freeway.

Confirmation that the Cannington based ACR store is linked to the Claremont store. At some point (ABN registered in 2000) the Cannington store was owned by the Edwards Family Trust.

Just want to reconfirm something I have read in here, cops have been looking at a panel van for the KK attack, I am assuming she heard the panel van door opening, from what we know now we suspect it may have been the telstra issued panel van. Cops have been going over old vans in perth for years.

What I always found weird was that in both the 2008 and late 90s re-enactments it shows her standing with her hands on her knees talking to someone in a white VS series 1 Commodore wagon.

Yet the whole "white VS1 Series 1" thing only made the media around 2015.

Frankie denies she ever talked to a stopped vehicle, yet two docos made over a decade apart both show her talking to someone in the very model of vehicle that ended up being the one he used.
