He says he hadn't met his father until he was a teenager, so I am thinking marriage is unlikely.

I've read that differently - I take it to mean that six months after his stepmother met his father - not him meeting his own father.

Yes, that's how I read it. And that his father did not protect him. very weird! This case sounds like it's going to end up as "the usuall suspect".

Yes I agree with that's how it was meant.

I'm not entirely sure the daughter is his daughter either as she seems to have another surname on SM. Also the only article referring to her as his daughter is one by DailyMail which is not known for fact checking before publishing. The daughter has also said her mother wouldn't just get up and leave because she is an only child. I don't think she would say she was an only child if she had a biological half brother...but that's just my opinion of course!

Cars have been seized and checked. If Karen didn't walk off the property, a vehicle would be the only other way....alive or dead?

Sounding familiar? Holden Captiva? I hope those cops are checking behind the rear seats for blood droplets.

I may be wrong, I was wrong about Tom Meagher.
 
The 47-year-old missing woman and her husband are reportedly partners in a business Bella Bleu. Mrs Ristevski is listed as a sole shareholder and Mr Ristevski as a director of another business, The Australian reports.

The publication claims a caveat, thought to be brought on by unpaid rent, was lodged in February by a shopping centre owner over the missing woman's Avondale Heights property.

It reports the caveat prevents the property, thought to be worth up to $1.1million, from being transferred or sold.

That is how I read it too, that he had only recently connected with dad later in life. it's a shame Karen isn't around to have her say on his well timed 'get it off my chest' post. In my opinion her disappearance stinks and it's close to home, there's a lot of misguided loyalties.
 
I wondered about the date of her departure/demise 29 JUN - end of the financial year ??

Why bring these accusations to light knowing that Karen is missing, possibly murdered. You have to admit that it doesn't show him in a good light.

I think maybe because the way Karen is being portrayed in the media as a kind and generous soul does not gel with his experiences? And if he WAS questioned re the disappearance, perhaps he wanted to set the record straight.
 
Could be, then again he may be "under the impression" that Karen won't/can't return and he will never have to tell his version of events in court.
 
What do people make of the mention of a 'second site', which has not been mentioned further? This seems to be critical.
I also remember reports in the newspaper and on tv saying that a breakthrough was expected last Friday in reference to this 'second site', but nothing was mentioned further. Either nothing came of it or something did come of it and the police are keeping it hidden from the public. It wasn't really clear if this 'second site' was related to the river behind their property or not. I once got the impression it was related to the river and handbag, but then i got the impression it was not about the river but about another place. This was never elaborated on.

The daughter is on other social media platforms with a different surname but then again that doesn't mean it's her legal name.

Agreed on that first score - and either way, the allegations are pretty full on no matter when anyone met. The latest is more concern again.

It would be nice if they followed up on the "second site" obviously they don't want us to know.

My guess would be that it's something to do with her phone pings - possibly even the day before depending on when she was last sighted by someone other than her husband.

Mr Ristevski and his brother Vasko previously owned clothing manufacturer and wholesaler Blue Laser Jean Co, according the The Australian, and the company racked up $600,000 of unsecured debts after one of its major customers restructured.
Real estate group Vicinity and financial company Perpetual are believed to have lodged the caveat over the family home. The Australian understands Vicinity is the landlord at the Broadmeadows shopping centre where one of the Bella Bleu stores operates.
