I live around the areas that have been discussed and travel the Diggers Rest road towards Toolern Vale very often. From Karen's house to the spot she was found the most direct route would be along the Calder Freeway. By going through Diggers Rest is actually a significant detour.
Just my opinion though.

Would the direct route be one that is well known by others, Jobby?

We know that Borce probably knew the way to Diggers Rest very well, due to family living in the area.
I am just wondering if he would have known the direct route to Mt Macedon just as well, if he rarely ventured that far along the highway.

Also, do you know if there is another (more concealed) way to Mt Macedon from Diggers Rest railway station area?

That raises the question Jobby6, why go trough Diggers Rest. We all know who resides in Diggers Rest.

Without checking, I assume this is outside the timeframe for his "fuel gauge" checking run?

We know the phone pings occurred on the day KR went missing and we know the location of the pings but we never knew the time of the pings. Now they have released this cctv footage they have also collated the phone pings with the time of the pings. This is the first time we have been told of the time of the phone pings. If that makes sense.

Anyone driving from Melbourne (taylors Lakes is on the way) would use the Calder Freeway. It is a good road.
Before the Diggers Rest turn off is a BP service station. So you wouldn't turn off at Diggers to get fuel. Not sure you can buy any there anyway.
Did BR say he turned off the highway just after Calder Park? If he did then he has taken the correct exit, but instead of going back over the highway he has continued through To Diggers Rest. To get back to the highway from Diggers involves a lot of weaving through streets.
however the way the car in question has taken would take him to the Diggers Rest to Toolern Vale road. Which passes the previous search area of Toolern Vale and the Toolern Vale General Store. If the car turned right there it could then travel to Gisborne.

I hope I have made sense. I'm new at this.

I think this would blow that BS story out of the water. Didn't he say he did a U-turn at the Calder Raceway and went home?

As many know, I have always wondered how much Borce would try to implicate Ant in this crime. To cast reasonable doubt. Point a finger in another direction.

The $850 dollars that Karen was apparently carrying.
The association of phone pings at Diggers Rest.
The placement of Karen just down the road.
No defence of Karen in the media, regarding her alleged 'closeness' to Ant.
No threats (apparently) to stop the media from repeating Ant's libelous claims.

And I wonder about a back route to Mt Macedon from the Diggers Rest train station (place of CCTV sighting), due to Vasko's appearance around the burned-out restaurant in that area ... and the police searches in that area, too.

Yes all good points SA

Just a reminder of the route to Mt Macedon. With significant points marked. If you open the link below, you can enlarge specific areas, if you like.

Images and Videos of Cars have been released including KR's.

In the video it appears these cars are travelling together. Whetherbit being due to waiting at traffic lights etc.

-Analysis of KR's car (last) and driving style? Was BR in a rush?

Didn't slow down too much (at all?) for the roundabout, did it?

They say a murderer often dumps the body close-ish to where the murder occurred (with a 30km radius?), as they usually have only a certain amount of time they can be 'missing' while they are doing their grisly disposal.

Car video footage at the beginning in this link ... http://www.9news.com.au/national/20...ght-on-cctv-may-contain-karen-ristevskis-body

Exciting that there is some movement on the case! Can you imagine how much cctv footage the police have probably watched!

Ive always had a feeling that br turned off at diggers rest and headed towards toolernvale to meet up with VR. I think it was an accident and then in a panic br starts driving with kr in the car on the nearest freeway - maybe with some idea of going to the forests in mt macedon direction. He calls vr in a panic who says he'll meet him onbthe way - if vr is in the hoppers crossing area and got a call like that from br i think he would go up north via leaks rd - which looks like it eventually leads onto blackhill rd and is also a somewhat backroad. From there i feel like vr would be able to think more clearly in covering tracks - so probably wouldn't have used BR/kr car for the rest of the event etc.

If they've confirmed the ping times im interestes in that - going to go look for it.

They must have a ton of CCTV footage. In the presser the detective said that they can see the car going through one roundabout then another roundabout then another roundabout. They have it at the railway crossing. They have it leaving the residence. Who knows what other footage they have.

No wonder they feel confident that it is only a matter of time till they arrest the killer.

Just a few i's to dot, a couple of t's to cross.

Look up victoria police facebook page - you can watch it there
