There was confirmed CCTV footage from a general store in Toolern Vale. Whether or not that showed the Black Benze Coupe. I think they have released only a select few images where there might have been strong interaction with other people, especially at a train station and with other cars in the proximity.

I think you are correct Oz Jen, I think it would be natural for the female partners to be closer than with the males. It has been posted that she owns a café, so perhaps is avoiding publicity so as not to potentially harm the business if connection is made public.

Very INteresting ! I wonder where!

I'm trying to find the link I posted about Vasco lives at Toolern Vale....surely not that shop there.

My concern with the LE case going forward is why the plea to the drivers in the "convoy". unless something remarkable happened on the road , how likely is it for the average person to remember one car and describe occupant / s , almost a full year later.
I wondered whether it was to have evidence to confirm the date on which the cars were filmed. In case the defence suggested that the Mercedes was at that location but on another day and the CCTV date data had been doctored.

I think the attire may show that the decision to visit the site was made in haste, area may well have been muddy and rocky as Cads has mentioned.
I also think you secretly own a pair of mockies, tucked away in your vast shoe collection.

UGGS yes, moccasins - it's a no from me.

It has been previously posted that café is in Moonee Ponds when poster discovered family trust and Wanda Ristevski as owner.

I would also have thought that LE should have made this appeal to "convoy" drivers much earlier in the investigation.
CCTV footage would have most likely have been studied with that date as priority.

I don't think other Melbournians, especially those of us who live near more bogan-y suburbs, and are over 40, would find the moccasins that notable. Like it is notable, as in "he's one of those dudes that wears his moccies everywhere", but not notable like he would have worn them for a purpose.

The Rusty Duck, Moonee Ponds. March 6. WR posted "My friend, my sister - R.I.P dear Karen"

I think VR lives in Hoppers Crossing doesn't he?

Maybe LE require the information as part of a correlation of evidence. They may well have other related evidence and this is part of the link.

Agree. Moccies are not that notable. But if you have gumboots, surely you would choose those in preference if planning to do some bush-walking. Common or garden variety moccies are not great for driving.

And this guy used to be involved in the fashion industry ??????????????

Yes , but why the delay. It hinder not help the case.

So, I have been looking all over for info about Tim Day. Because I was wondering why the Missing Persons Squad is continuing to be lead investigators in this homicide.

It appears that Tim Day is previously from the Homicide Squad. I have found lots of articles where he has been spokesperson in the media about various homicide cases. Up until 2011, as far as I can see.
Cases involving domestic assault, murder-then-a-fire, fatal stabbing, a case where family threatened reprisals (not against the police) after a shooting murder.

From a relevant book about a case - Portland hair salon murder - Tim Day also tried his hardest to get permission and encourage other police to publicly talk about a case, as he felt it could only help them with the case. His requests were denied.

In 2004, Tim also orchestrated an elaborate sting (along with another officer) to ensnare the rapist and murderer of a 6-year old girl in a cold case from 1982. They caught the guy, and he was finally made to face justice.

If they left in haste what could have been the reason. Did they know that ACA might be there and needed to get there before them, if so why? More questions fewer answers in this case.

These pics were taken around the same time and all look so different.
One photo has many branches in there.

I am puzzled about when that photo was taken. Surely all of the leaves and branches were removed during forensic investigations and before media had access to the site.
