1:20pm-ish till 2pm-ish. Gives him enough time to quickly hose off the car, get out of his muddy boots, and chuck the shovel back in the garage ... before switching his phone back on and acting like he was home all day.
Maybe check to make sure his own cctv wasnt working

We've been talking about the feasibility or not of taking the Mercedes into the rough Mt Macedon terrain. Some people have said can't imagine how you'd do it. Others say no problem and look the police cars were fine. Not a bad idea to test and time it in the right vehicle. I wouldn't want them doing it in my Mercedes though. Not that I have one.

Perhaps what we have seen is just a copy ... one that police were happy to have the public (Borce/Sarah/Vasko) see? Perhaps police have a copy, too. A copy for you and you and you .. a copy for everybody!

I can't imagine the homeowners just giving away copies to the media, without the nod from the police. The neigbours have been so very good about not releasing anything to the media previously.

Seems to have taken about 3 hours for the CCTV to be shown, from what I can judge in the articles. The initial pic was a still shot, presumably taken by that 3AW caller.

I agree. The neighbours have all been very discrete. Makes me all the more certain police have given the all clear to release.

Somehow I can't imagine that Borce will ever be riding in that Merc again.

One wonderful locals said it had been raining wet wet at the time so if it is dry weather now then it wouldn't be a true comparison.

Neighbours reported seeing the car, sealed in yellow tape, being loaded onto the tow truck about 12.50pm today. It was reportedly identical to the one owned by Ms Ristevski, which was captured on CCTV the day of her disappearance.

A caller told Victorian radio station 3AW the two-door late model car was put on the truck at Avondale Heights about 1.20pm. An unmarked police car with flashing lights reportedly escorted the truck from the home.

The most direct route from Avondale Heights to Mt Macedon is via the Calder Fwy. There is no need to take the Diggers Rest exit and head over the train tracks where CCTV saw the black Merc.
You would however take this exit if you were headed towards Blackhill Road, Toolern Vale. Perhaps this is where Karen's body was first dumped which led to the searches around that area in December 2016.
However, I cannot fathom how the main suspect in a murder investigation would be able to relocate a body without LE being right on them??

Maybe that was why the windows were open. To wrap the yellow tape through, so the doors couldn't be opened again. Keep the chain of evidence clean. No-one else could get in the vehicle and contaminate it, other than whoever had been authorised to do so.

That's right TGY. Great pick up. Surely he would have taken the car somewhere for a detailed wash immediately afterwards? That would add an extra 30-40min to his route on the day.

Thanks SA that make sense.
The yellow tape has been causing me such stress ...lol

Apologies if I'm repeating, as I'm catching up on news and posts tonight, but that wouldn't be Karen's original car. It would be a duplicate for the reenactment.

Karen's car would have been taken apart during forensic testing. Seats would have been unpicked and pulled apart. Screws and bolts would be undone to test for seepage of body fluid etc.

It appears to be several days between when Karen died to when she was reported to when the homicide police where called in.

He had had heaps of time.
Unless it didn't get washed and the grime on it now is all original.

What if if the Merc didn't get washed regularly and he thought it would be too obvious to wash it.

I owned a black car once - NEVER AGAIN! Nice but far too much maintainance.

Are you saying her car would still be in pieces? And not returned to BR after testing?

And childers rd to oakley drive is 40 mins - maybe he hung out for around 10 mins at his car at childers if krs car was seen at 12pm

Edit to add: i put into Google maps - diggers rest to loch rd via blackhill rd and gisborne and it takes around 36 mins. If he started at diggers rest at 11am. Got to where KR was found at 11.36 spends about 20 mins there so leaves around 11.55. Drives to childers rd and pulls over for whatever reason at 12pm. Maybe to catch his breath/in shock over what he's done. Home by 12.50.... was it raining at all on the day? He might not have got it washed straight away?

Now my brain really hurts.
It's now comatosed.

Maybe by relocating her the following day or the day after with help...... she wasn't reported missing officially for a few days ... I think?
