Further down the street, neighbour Mark Johns said he had also seen Mr Ristevski and occasionally his daughter, Sarah.
“They rarely show their face on the street,” Mr Johns said.

“You only might see them going into their house or out to their car but otherwise you don’t see a friendly face when you’re walking by.

Finally! Wonderful news. It was only a matter of time before he was arrested.

Borce Ristevski charged with wife Karen Ristevski’s murder

The video attached to the link.

Stary agreed to media getting access to charge sheet provided BR's address was redacted...his new one as of 10.am this morning? :D
Borce was drawn and looked hagged...and had a thick beard.

Inside, none of the family members who have offered to fill the information gaps in the mystery of Karen Ristevksi’s disappearance over the past 18 months were present.
No children of the deceased. No brothers of the accused.
Instead, Borce Ristevski faced remand — and prosecution — alone.....

It will be another 126 days before the next court procedure in a case that might run years. There were few clues to its nature or content, except a declaration from lawyer Rob Stary that his client intended to plead not guilty.
It follows an intensely scrutinised police investigation
Observers who assume the murder trial will solve the mysteries of Karen Ristevksi’s death may be disappointed.

I’ll chink my champers glass one extra time for KR at dinner tonight [emoji322][emoji119][emoji120]

I feel sorry for Sarah, but she would have had more sympathy is she had kept a lower profile and didn't make herself look like she was leading a carefree and fun filled life.
This seems to be a pattern for her. When times get tough, avoid it all, by going overseas.

I find this intriguing....no application for bail?

He made no application for bail and was remanded in custody to reappear on April 18.
Prosecutors have been granted extra time to prepare their case because of the complex nature of the investigation, according to the Herald Sun.

This is great news but the nudie run will have to wait till I get back from my cruise. I’ll be thrown overboard if I try it. NOT a good idea.

Maybe he had already booked a trip and he knew he would be considered a flight risk in regard to bail. :dunno:
It does seem odd that there was no application for bail.
Is he an Aussie citizen or does he have dual citizenship?
imo

BR's address to be redacted ... why who resides at the redacted address?
Maybe Sarah.
imo

Melbourne's turned on a real scorcher today, but I bet no one's feeling the heat more than Borce.:jail:

He can only get bail in exceptional circumstances in Victoria.

An accused who is charged with certain serious offences must establish “exceptional circumstances” in order to be bailed. These charges include:
- murder
http://www.lawhandbook.org.au/03_05_04_grounds_for_refusal_of_bail/

This link also gives the grounds for exceptional circumstances. Let's hope he doesn't go for that with his "need to prepare a defence" (one of the grounds) as others before him have done.

But then he would have to overcome the 'unacceptable risk' factor as well, and it does not seem to be that he really has anything to tie him down in this country.

Especially since his favoured child is out of the country.

The Oakley Dr neighbour said she felt incredibly sad for Sarah and her whole family but was glad for some closure.

“It’s been horrendous ... we’ve had federal police in our street ... it’s frightening to my girls,” she said.

“When we moved in, he (Borce) came over with his daughter and brought wine and flowers - he was very hospitable,”

“It’s been a fiasco ... it’s been over a year, we need some closure,” she said.

The ant nest is quiet.

I'd be very worried if I was VR...No relatives in court to support BR...Meanwhile Sarah holidays overseas as the drama unfolds and there's been no activity in the ants nest since the arrest.

Interesting days ahead !!!
