Karen Ristevski's husband speaks out about the mystery of his missing wife

'Borce Ristevski has been told by police not to speak publicly about his wife’s disappearance on June 29.'

'Borce also claimed police urged him not to speak publicly about the case. But he is continuing to co-operate with authorities over his wife’s disappearance.

When asked by the Herald Sun if he would like to make a new appeal for information over his wife’s disappearance, Borce refused.

“The police have told me not to talk about the case,” he said.'

'It’s believed Borce last spoke to police on Friday as water police searched an area around a bridge at Maribyrnong.'

when compared to an earlier MSM article where it was reported that a POI had stopped talking to police:

What happened to Karen Ristevski? Person of interest in mum's disappearance 'goes silent' - as police search area around family home for evidence one month after she vanished
by Emily Crane
Daily Mail Australia 07:32 +10:00 27 Jul 2016, updated 08:20 +10:00 27 Jul 2016

'• Police revealed a person of interest has now stopped talking to detectives'

'A crucial person of interest in the disappearance of Melbourne mum Karen Ristevski has suddenly stopped talking to police as detectives flood the area near her home in search of fresh evidence.'

'The intensified police presence comes after detectives were met by a 'wall of silence' from a key person of interest, the Herald Sun reports.

No person of interest has been publicly named by police.

Police last week questioned her 32-year-old stepson, Anthony Rickard, has been cooperating with detectives.

Mr Rickard, who is fighting an ice addiction, told police there had been a family conflict and that his stepmother had allegedly been planning to leave her husband before she disappeared.

Detectives are said to be taking Mr Rickard's allegations very seriously.'

'He has denied any involvement in Mrs Ristevski's disappearance but did admit to police that his anger over the family conflict could be considered a motive.

When asked by police if he killed his stepmother, Mr Rickard said he 'would have liked to', according to the Herald Sun.

Mr Rickard said he called Mrs Ristevski several days before she disappeared to talk about the family conflict.

'So I rung her (Mrs Ristevski)... what I wanted to talk to her about she knows exactly why,' he said.

'It was a shock that she disappeared after my phone call to her.'

Mr Rickard's father Borce has also been questioned by police over his wife's disappearance.

Police have not suggested that Mr Ristevski has had anything to do with his wife's disappearance.'

I wonder who's who in the zoo? Is the POI; BR or AR? I know who I have my money on.

So why did he do that media conference then with Sarah, and why is he talking to them now? He'd be better off saying nothing at all.

The post about the L plates may not be related to driving, could be a cryptic new beginning post ??

Could be Hbayne - like a graduation after doing something............IYKWIM

Why would the police tell BR not to talk about the case? Isn't it quite normal for the family to continue to appeal to the public? Are they worried he will say something that they don't want the public to know yet?

Or is he just telling media that to get them off his back? Also I thought HE had stopped talking to police himself?

Talking about the case and appealing are 2 different things IMO

It's quite normal for police to ask family to appeal to the media when a person first goes missing; especially if they suspect a crime.

Also, I've edited my original post to include an earlier MSM article. It seems BR is 'continuing to cooperate with authorities'. That probably means AR isn't? Unless, of course, there is another person the police have interviewed?

I would also be looking into whether their shops have CCTV and obtaining that footage. Just in case someone was having a look before opening or after closing times.

The article says 'Police last week questioned her 32-year-old stepson, Anthony Rickard, has been cooperating with detectives.'
(Evidently the word 'who' is missing from the sentence.)
Would that not suggest that it is someone else who is now not cooperating? :dunno:

Not really. AR was quoted as co-operating when they spoke to him a week earlier. Then a POI went silent. BR is continuing to co-operate with them. So, take your pick. Who was speaking out to MSM, etc, and then went silent? As I said, I know who my money's on..

I read that it was BR who stopped cooperating. Apologies, I can't remember which article it was. He may not be cooperating, by saying "the police have told me not to comment", that doesn't suggest he IS cooperating. As another poster suggested, it may just be a diversion tactic to move the media along.

I don't think anyone had stopped talking to the Police, probably both BR and AR had stopped talking to the media. I think it was just a media spin.

BIB: I mentioned in a previous post, that there maybe another POI and that they weren't specifically saying it was BR. I still don't believe he is the one they are saying that's no longer co-operating, nor do I believe it's AR, I really think there is another POI besides BR and AR, that we (the public) aren't aware of. MOO

Question anyone know?

There are two cars in the family, Karen and husband share a car?

With a medical condition i wonder if karen doesnt drive much, and her husband drives.

When I drove past last Sunday there were 2 cars one smaller grey car could have been a Toyota with a green "P" plate......the other was grey as well seemed sort of smaller than a large 4 wheel drive.

I would like to read the MSM article that stated BR, in particular, had stopped co-operating with detectives. Could you post a link please, WS?
