He did not have to have her credit card just her pin number to the account her single parent benefit was paid into. I would be surprised if she had much credit on any credit card that she owned,

“The accused told (the woman) he had killed Pearce by suffocating … and he’d thrown her body off the side of a highway,” Mr Mabbutt said as he read the Crown statement.

She told police later she found photographs of Ms Pearce-Stevenson’s body on his phone’s memory card. She also found a picture of Khandalyce asleep in a car seat.

At the time she never reported her discoveries to police and only revealed it after Holdom was arrested and she was questioned.

Another woman made a diary entry in 2013 in which she noted that Holdom had confessed to her that he had murdered the mother and daughter.

Both women and three other witnesses have had their identities suppressed by court order."

Good question. I never thought of someone he would come across in court, I thought he was afraid of repercussions facing him within the prison system.

I just have to keep wondering where this behaviour comes from. He could have opened the car door and left them standing on the side of the road if he did not want them anymore, but he chose to kill them. I do not understand it.

Here am I, all grown up and not believing in monsters, how wrong could I be, a true monster. I am shocked that anyone else knew about this and didn't alert authorities. The "normal" reasons one might consider before "dobbing" someone in surely couldn't apply, killing a mother and child, dumping their bodies like trash, stealing from them. No link found (nothing about him at all), but I now think, it was an expired bank card of Karlie. Anyway, there was an obviously connection between Holdom and Karlie and so LE had a clue.

No, it's another crime, because it had taken place 2013 (the car crash had been in 2008):

His final known crime had him locked away in prison for four years.

In April of 2013, Mr Holdom sexually assaulted an eight-year-old child at a caravan park in the Central Coast of New South Wales.

He was serving that jail term when he was charged with the double murder, which he vehemently denied.

So what happens now? Will we hear more details about what happened even though he pleaded guilty? Will charges be laid against the people who knew/assisted him in his crimes? Will we find out if Hazel made a deal to dish dirt on him in exchange for leniency? I want details! I want to know, not how he did what he did, but WHY he did what he did.
