HOMICIDE detectives have launched a national DNA manhunt for the killer of mother of three Kylie Blackwood who was killed a year ago this week.

It can exclusively be revealed Victoria Police has taken samples from hundreds of suspects and people of interest using ‘elimination DNA sampling’.

It is believed this forensic approach will continue to include thousands of criminals, as police narrow in on their target.

The Sunday Herald Sun understands the list of people they want to take samples from includes criminals who were living in the Pakenham area on the day Ms Blackwood was murdered — 1 August 2013 — but have since moved away, including interstate.

Yes it will be a relief to finally have an end to this.Hopefully this friday on the 1st anniversary of poor Kylie's murder will also hold the medias attention.The more it's in the spotlight the better.Just as reminders to people who may all of a sudden remember or finally feel they should come forward with any info at all! expecting media round Pakky as Foundation does it's tin rattling on friday for Kylie.

Thinking of Kylie today .. and her children .. they must feel very sad. It has been a year since they were confronted with the loss of their mum.

I hope they feel Kylie's loving arms wrapped tightly around them, today and every day.

I see that locals had a fund-raising drive for the anniversary of Kylie's murder ... collecting coin donations on Main Street, where the Harcourts Pakenham office is.

I can't see Peter Blackwood in the photos of the event though. Maybe the camera just missed him.

Has a reward been posted yet, for information leading to an arrest in Kylie's murder?

So disappointing. Somehow I just expected far more effort on Kylie's behalf, and for the sake of her beloved children.

It is all very well supporting a fine organisation like White Ribbon - but it is not helping to catch Kylie's murderer.
