Simon Gittany's new life in jail and what his girlfriend will see of him

BBM

Love it!! :)

"Gone in his designer suit and also absent may be his charm, for life among the unattractive, often foul-smelling one thousand male inmates is unlikely to put the hot-tempered Gittany in a good mood."

"This morning, dressed in dark green track pants and matching T-shirt or sweatshirt, and wearing a pair of white Dunlop volley sandshoes............"

ETA - odd how that smiley showed up in the link - must be the : D

From the above link...

""Neighbours said they were unaware the simple home with a beaten looking exterior was the family home of one of the state's most high-profile murderers""

Meantime the #1 son lived it up in a million dollar apartment....what is wrong with that picture!?!??!

Feeling something FAKE afoot regarding the whole show.

Isn't it ironic what you find when the surface gloss is scratched away. Looking at where someone came from tells you a lot about who they really are.
Wolves in sheeps clothing.

Great sleuthing ICU Nurse, thank you. From the link you posted it seems that ShoeCandy was only making $4.61USD per day, as of June 2013. GS needed a lot more than that to just pay his rent, let lone live.

I found two listings for Simon Gittany on ASIC late last night. Besides the Health Delivered company he also had a cleaning business. I'd say laundering business would be more the correct term IYKWIM.

View attachment 39156

The dodgy Chemright company was deregistered on 2 October this year. How convenient!

View attachment 39158

I'm hoping that the investigation does reveal that GS's earnings were from criminal gain and that all of his assets are frozen!

L M A O when I read your bit about the cleaning firm. Laundering business would be more like it.

:seeya:

Oh Makara you are awful.

Fast off the mark girl and damn hilarious! :loveyou:
:floorlaugh:

She is awful Muriel. In the best way.

But can I get a light anyone, a lighter. 20 photographers, can I get a light!

But I wonder if the building was non smoking hence the cigarette pose.

Something I would like to hear some more about is this:

SIMON Gittany, is the target of a new police investigation over business dealings he conducted with two methylamphetamine producers.

The NSW drugs squad is investigating a series of suspicious payments between Gittany, who is also a convicted drug dealer, and Jamie Shaun Hijniakoff, 25, and British-born Christopher Stephen Jacques, 38 who have pleaded guilty to producing meth in a secret laboratory northwest of Sydney in 2011.

Some dates would be if interest.
Lisa Harnum was murdered 30 July 2011 (Saturday)

Methamphetamine production and or drugs manufacturing business is a pretty serious matter. Some very shady characters are involved with this sort of activity. I understand it is about BIG money.

PS I have just finished an interesting book. Three Crooked Kings, author Matthew Condon. True it leaves more questions than it answers, but it is an eye opener to say the least.

Strange it wasn't "premium content" when I posted it, I was able to copy and paste, but it is now - and I didn't pay for it.

I have also seen his name printed in several articles - so I don't understand why he wants to hide it now.

I was able to read that particular article last night Sleep. He (SG) has been bad to the bone for many years!.

Miranda Devine doesn't hold back in this report...

Underneath the urbane charm of Simon Gittany beat the heart of a cruel beast

THE Simon Gittany you saw in court was a far cry from the rage-filled monster seen on CCTV footage clamping his hand over his screaming girlfriend's mouth and dragging her inside their apartment

He arrived on days when he wasn't locked in a cell, hand in hand with his beautiful new Portuguese girlfriend Rachelle Louise, 24.

With her buxom figure, long dark hair and submissive air she was an eerie replica of the girl he murdered

"Look at me with this stunner," he seemed to say.

"Do you think a woman this hot would fall for me if I were a violent killer?"

Well, yes. And the court watchers who came each day were not swayed. They'd seen his type before. Most were women, and they thought he was guilty as sin.

I was reading yesterday about when SG took Lisa's cell phone off her - well, guess what Mr G., now it's your turn to know what that feels like!.

"But his access to the internet or a mobile phone, while he is in jail, is finished."

http://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/re...-will-see-of-him/story-fnet09p2-1226770560480

232 At some point that day, Lisa Harnum told her mother that the accused had taken her cell phone away (T84).

Absolutely heart breaking reading this. Our justice system has to change!! Swing the focus around onto the victim instead of keeping it all about the criminals.

The hardest thing for the Harnum family was not being able to defend their daughter.

She was the victim of an abusive and controlling relationship and the worst side of her was aired for all to see.

At times, Ms Harnum had to walk out of the NSW Supreme Court to stop herself from jumping up and saying something.

“I think what bothered me was that we're not allowed as the family of Lisa … to give Lisa a face and a voice to say 'this is who we are talking about'.”

PLANT THE No. 9

Rachelle Louise after her outburst goes outside for a cigarette. No tears and no lighter. As a smoker there is no way I would go to court for an all day sitting without my cigarettes and especially my lighter.
It was a set up to get the attention on her. First thing I noticed in the video was her uncultured voice and no tremor of being upset. She was playing to the crowd. My opinion is that she and Simon are a mutual admiration society . She certainly didn't look like she was too upset when she was outside smoking. Probably thinking the book would sell better if he was in gaol. Wouldn't be surprised if they had a deal together. You show up as my loving girlfriend to prove I didn't do it and I'll help you make a lot of money from a book. I would love it if they started to look at his finances. He would need at least $3000.00 a week just to exist in his life style.

Love it!

"Wherever he goes in his limited access to parts of Silverwater prison, Gittany will be under video camera surveillance."

It's a great report isn't it!!...lol.

I like this...

He will be let out of his cell again for a few hours this afternoon, then locked back in around 3.30pm for the evening.

All he can do is watch television, or sleep.

Tonight he will be given a "cook chill" meal, which is cooked then refrigerated in a process similar to hospital meals.

Tomorrow, Gittany's day will be exactly the same

That same report goes on to say, after he's sentenced in February, he'll be transferred to to a maximum security jail like Goulburn or Lithgow.

There he will meet murderers far more infamous than himself, such as the Anita Cobby and the Janine Balding killers.

Then his only hope of returning to the high life he jettisoned when he threw fiancee Lisa Harnum over their apartment balcony is the NSW Court of Criminal Appeal.

But given he chose a judge only trial, it less likely an appeals bench would overturn Judge Lucy McCallum's decision than a verdict made by a jury

BBM - It sure is a great report! - I sent quite a bit of time going over it all .. picturing him in those surroundings. :) The cells look absolutely delightful I must say! (not)

Sorry if this has already been posted. Haven't caught up yet.

Read more: Justice Lucy McCallum is at the centre of the Simon Gittany case that gripped the nation

November 28, 2013

"AMID the horror of the Simon Gittany trial, one name received almost as much attention as Lisa Harnum.

Justice Lucy McCallum presided over a judge only trial that gripped the nation, handing down a 174 page judgment in a marathon session that found Simon Gittany guilty of murder.

She's been described as an "outstanding" lawyer with a brilliant reputation, called "scrupulously fair"and "bright and bubbly" by her peers.

Here are some of the facts that have blown us away about the formidable woman at the centre of the high profile case."

A short while ago, my computer suddenly shut down. I think it overheated lol. So instead of trying to re-type my thoughts, I'll make it quick. Yes, the system needs to change. A person's history can be very relevant to a current charge and should be allowed as information for a deciding judge or jury. Knowledge is power. Provided of course that the information included is relevant to the current charge. But the changes won't come from the general public waving placards and marching in the streets. It needs to be more like a committee of professionals judges, lawyers etc...who are passionate and well informed about court rulings. It is very unfair for a deceased victim's past to be scrutinised and the perpetrators to be withheld. IMO.:tantrum:

'Strip searched, photographed and processed late yesterday after he was taken by prison van to the Metropolitan Remand and Reception Centre (MRRC) in the Sydney suburb of Silverwater, the 40-year-old inmate exchanged his designer suit for a set of prison greens'.

... given he chose a Judge only trial, it less likely an appeals bench would overturn Judge Lucy McCallum's decision than a verdict made by a jury
