Christopher Dawson has been transferred to a regional prison, due to threats against his life.

He has been transferred to the Macquarie Correctional Centre, outside Wellington, 360km northwest of Sydney.

The article says that at Macquarie Correctional Centre, the prisoners sleep in 25 person dormitories instead of cells, and they have access to 'progressive inmate programs' such as gardening, mural painting, international computer chess tournaments.

Sounds a bit easier than Silverwater.

That sounds less safe.
I’ve never heard of a murderer getting such cushy conditions.

Maybe he and his roomies will watch 60 Minutes together tonight.

In the article, his lawyer says he is not aware of a specific threatening incident (prior to the move) but that it is usual for the catcalls and verbal threats to fly when a new inmate enters the prison.

Will there be a link to this episode?

Part of the reason for incarcerating predators is so that others are safe from the actual predator. This dude is still allowed to control the narrative.. I feel unsafe, there are threats, I heard someone say something mean.. the other inmates are not safe from him.. he has systematically preyed on vulnerable people and stolen their freedom and independence and in fact, stolen Lyn's life.. yet here he is wanting privileges.. hiding in a saggy, old, ex athlete's body, with a pathetic, whining, bloke-next-door voice, is a villain, a menace, a totally self absorbed criminal, who wants to paint pretty pictures while he wastes more tax-payer's dollars on appeals.. he refuses to atone for any of his hideous behaviour .. he has never apologised for anything.. and he wonders why there is so much animosity towards him .. I would love to see a group of people, who believe in the rights of children and women to encircle him for as many hours as it takes to break his arrogance, his self absorption, his refusal to admit his wrongdoing.. no violence, no threats, no injustice.. just a lack of negotiation, a lack of spinning a yarn filled with lies and manipulation, a lack of privileges, a lack of collaboration with his twin and big brother, a lack of funds to support his game, a repetitious menu (healthy but bland), no filter on what other inmates might think of him..

It looks like you have to be a 9 now member to be able to view via the 60 minutes website. These are a couple of articles that have come as a result of the 60 minutes episode.

It might go up on YouTube after the show. Our 60 Minutes often goes on YouTube for overseas viewers, but is not accessible to us in Australia. We have to watch it through a free 9Now account. (We have come across this on other threads.)

Shanelle's segment has already played in full here in South Australia. I am not sure why we got it earlier, must be something different in our programming tonight.

ETA: This is the 60 Minutes YouTube channel, it may go up here. It has previous recent shows, and they don't seem to be blocked for Aussies.
