After listening to the latest podcast a few times, I am believing a lot that MJR says. It paints a clear picture of social norms at that time. I am however wondering about the strange connection of a Belgian friend and his now wife working right where IK died.

agreed. How many times did they even mention Marion last episode? I know RB is crucial to this case, but the focus is off.
I think this is all really important. It paints a picture of RB‘s past behaviour. All circumstantial evidence. In my opinion, the more the better.
The coroner has extended the timeframe for final submissions. Let’s hope SL’s team have a few cards up their sleeve unknown to the public. Until the coroner’s findings are released - the TLV team need to be careful in terms of what they speak about in regards to MB.
For that reason I understand why they are keeping the podcast active, but working in a different direction for the time being. It’s still very relevant in terms of painting a clearer picture of who AKA is, and the extent of the damage he’s left behind.
Fingers crossed that SL receives a positive result from the coroner for a full on ‘all hands on deck’ police investigation into MB’s disappearance.

I have to agree.
The toll of what AH has caused to so many innocent victims for decades almost needs its own story aside from Marions.
But it really does paint a picture of just how deep his psychopathic behaviour goes.
Evelyn and Chris and Sally are true beacons of hope and resilience in a case that is beyond the realm of normality and who has had one monster at the helm for decades.
This may well be just the tip of the iceberg in what and who he has destroyed.
I hope one day we as a public community following this case on Marion Barter can collectively help to finally place Ilonas resting place with a headstone that shines the light on her love for her children and them her.
And that finally Sally can also lay her mum to rest.
The other person needs no remembrance in this lifetime.

Just thinking about what has been said in the past few podcasts with ER CR and MJR all giving their views.
IK was still in contact with AH and right up until he chased them to the ship and spoke to IK without MJR.
It might be that IK did leave the paperwork after the birth of CR up to AH to file ( hence why it says he was born in Tournai but MJR says he was born in Brussels) given she was still in contact with him and still in love with him.
Him being the creep he is with persuasion, she may have left it for him to file CR birth.
That might be why the agreement between AH, Biro and MJR was made.
AH would love Guardianship of anything to do with coin.
MJR may not have known as he said, and it was AH and Biro who had that agreement about Evelyn and Chris. And that's why they never received any money from the Grandmothers properties. AH was involved.

Is this the first time it has been mentioned that AKA used the alias Atilla, IK's brother? MR said on the latest podcast he saw a list of AKA's alias' with the name Atilla on there. I have not heard this before. I may have missed this elsewhere.

If that comment wasn’t made for dramatic affect then yes that sounds like a very strange coincidence. As the podcast team I might have followed up with a few more questions on that.

I’m afraid my original post has been misinterpreted, perhaps due to poor wording on my part. I’m 100% on board with a thorough podcast investigation into RB. Like I said, he is central to the case. However - the ‘focus’, by which I mean ‘angle’, of the podcast I think could be slightly reoriented so that Marion is still clearly front and centre. Maybe the podcast has grown away from its original roots, which is fine. I just think the podcast lost me a few episodes back when Alison was talking about her broken shoe. My bad - I should stop commenting without thinking about all the ways my posts might be interpreted.

Oh, maybe I did not write this correct either. It really wasn’t meant to be a criticism towards your comment. I meant that it is better to have lots of information in case something goes to the authorities, rather than not enough. It is easier to follow up everything and discard useless information later. Would they still hold IKs medical records or would they have been disposed of? No mention of heart damage, heart pill medication, internal bleeding, anaemia in her death records?

Today in my feed podcast called: Smoking Gun - the bottle of Coca Cola. Describes Poisoning by Thalium and the murderer had a book about effects of poisoning on the human body. So familiar …. There is a loss of hair … maybe the encouraging women to dye hair would be an explanation to victims about hair loss? Thallium tasteless, odorless and kills few weeks later. It used to be available for rodent poisoning in Australia (until some murders). Just an aside, cyanide is used to clean “old coins” …. So a legitimate reason for coin dealer to buy it.
yes, interesting that MJR stated that IK had scarlet fever and took heart medication. Scarlet fever can lead to rheumatic fever which may damage heart valves. My mother took medication to 'help' her heart after getting rheumatic fever as a child, Digitalis then Digoxin before replacement heart valve surgery required her to take blood thinner Warfarin. So if IK did have a relevant medical history, I can't see why this wasn't mentioned on her death certificate.
