Thanks, Fruity!

Looks like RM... And her boyfriend.... Got herself into a little bit of trouble... Doesn't it.... :waitasec:

Definitely! Not surprising for anyone who followed the thread earlier in the year. It's sad that whatever made her take the steps to disappear didn't give her a jolt into reality. I had hoped that she would take a different path.

I thought September 22 too, but now we have a different source in msm saying police spoke to him for the first time in early October.

Btw guys remember Rachael Moritz, who went missing earlier in the year? Her car was used in a murder and she had links to bikie gangs? She has appeared in court with her boyfriend on drug charges. I couldn't find her old thread.

Oh wow!!! Yes, the missing / not so missing Rachel Moritz .. god remember all the FB dramarama over that one?

Thanks for the info fruity. So sad to see that Rachael didn't straighten herself up after that massive hullabaloo when she went into hiding.

(I think her thread disappeared after she reappeared. But there is still this one for the victim of the crime that her car was used in - Jason De Ieso.)

Unless he went back out of the lane and on to Military Rd from Young St. Then he would be seen running up Military towards the Oaks (possibly captured on Vinnie's security cameras) - this is of course about 100 metres as well (as it's the same length as the lane). Maybe he decided to approach from Military Rd to avoid people in the bar seeing him as they would if he came out of the lane.

I also wanted to reiterate DJK could not have seen MH in the Oaks from Military Rd. You cant see in to the Oaks from Military Rd - only by walking about 10m down Ben Boyd Rd which DJK had no reason to do - it is in the opposite direction of his house. DJK was working on the other side of Military Rd - he had no way of seeing in to the Oaks - which is why I think he may have seen MH arriving at the pub when MH walked down Military Rd at 1pm which is the same time DJK left work on Military Rd.

Paraphrasing because my phone won't c&p this morning:

Police interviewed him in the weeks (though I have saved a copy which originally said "in the days") after the murder and later seized his satchel and glasses for forensic testing.

Thanks fruity ... then there was this other article - same paper, same reporter - that more generically says this ..

"It will also be alleged that blood was found on a pair of Mr Kelsall's prescription glasses which were found by police."

So confuzzling! Don't they know that we analyse every word they say! :australia:

(Maybe SMH was feeling more imaginative that day and decided to change their wording, or maybe their investigative phone calls got a little more detail later so the glasses were seized instead of found.)

Thanks for the local's eye view, sarahlund! That really does make sense.

So - possible scenario - he sees M walking to the pub.. follows him over but lurks in Grosvenor Lane.. waits for M to leave and follows him (maybe going the back way to get back onto Military Rd via Young St to avoid being seen near the pub) to the lights.

Something like that. That's pretty plausible to me.

eta: and also pretty creepy. IMO.

THANK YOU MARLY for the lovely Aussie emoticons. :) :australia:

.. and lol, Brightbird.. "classless brutes from Zone 2".. loved the link. :floorlaugh:

Unfortunate for Morgan that he paced/waited around outside, instead of hoofing it right home. He could have given DJK time to catch up with him, the long way around, by doing that.

O/T... But... I just LOVE the new Aussie emoticons! :skip:

:gday: :australia:

By the way... here in SoCal we say "Dude and Dudette"...

In the land of Oz... do you all say "Mate.... and Matette"?...... :waitasec:

(I can just hear Mrs. G. Norris right now groaning and saying,

Cluuuuueeesssyyyy, Maaaaaaaaaaaaate!!!"...

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

:gday::australia:

Flags and Roo's!!
:tyou: for our lovely icons!

Steely Dan will be upset that there's no emu!!

Exactly! I wish we had some accurate facts.

If DJK really was stalking MH, he would have eventually picked another night :(
Though in saying that - DJK really picked his timing seeing that JR flatemate was out - or was he just lucky? How did he know no-one was home at MH place? If he was stalking MH, how long has he been doing this for?

.

It's a scary thought, isn't it, Figgy?

It's either that, or just a confluence of various circumstances that led to Morgan becoming vulnerable to an unstable person. Though I -do- think DJK stalked Morgan that particular night.

Who knows, maybe DJK had dreamed up a real chance for romance in his head.. was feeling particularly lonely/needy that day... and saw his chance to try it on with a guy he'd admired from afar (or not so afar, seeing as their haunts overlapped) for some time.

Then Morgan squished all his hopes and dreams...

I really hope we get to know the details of this crime. Not just for satisfying curiosity (though it's a factor!) but also just for knowledge of how DJK was set off into murder..

ETA: if he WAS stalking Morgan for a long time, it would not have been hard at all - easy access/visibility to Morgan's st via Cheal Lane from the rear of the cooking school.. hanging around in food shops that all look directly into the pub where Morgan was a "fixture"... etc.. It is very possible, in my mind.
