I believe the father lived in a block of flats. Is that the block next to Glyde St? Was the alleyway behind the French Restaurant and other businesses, her route home? She was looking for an after-school job? Was that reported from other businesses there too?

There is many blocks of flats in this alleged affluent suburb. Towers built in around 60s which drew some surly types.
The nearest block of flats were on the corner Glyde and Stirling highway.
The opposite is the restaurant.
The only issue with Stirling highway is there may be other 161 Stirling hwy elsewhere. The age of the area had seen changes to neighbouhoods.
I think Cottesloe's may have come over railway line . Not certain thats the location.
Its Google maps first return.
Iona is 400 metres east of there.
Iona students would have walked up to Stirling highway there.
Its the same rear carpark.
