We all need to realise that so far, the police have released information that, the guy who wouldnt bruise a grape has been caught on CCTV buying acid, tomahawk, carpet etc at Bunnings, then hiring a floor sander a day or so later. What for? To sand the mans blood off his floor in his house? Nothing has come out about Ash's involvement other than tailing the Stang in his 300 c. There is a whole lot more to be released before people start pointing the finger at Dybsy for being a killing machine because he went to Kurdistan.

Detectives will allege they can trace Boscaino and Dyball’s movements via a *series of CCTV cameras and hits on phone towers in the days following Mr Thompson’s disappearance.

This is a crime forum, one of many. We sleuth, and discuss things. These places may not be the best to visit if you are close to one of the accused. moo

I can imagine you want to think the best of your friend etc but in reality he has been charged for a very heinous crime and one that the police must have a great deal of evidence to prove his guilt. Be it may he may not have served Sam the last blow so to speak but right now he wouldn't be locked up for no reason. MOO

I guess the wait now is just for positive ID on those remains. We are all assuming they are Sam.
""In the most recent homicide investigations we've assisted police with, we've had results consistently to them within 72 hours," he said.

When a murder is committed, the specialists at this Queensland Health unit will work tirelessly, some in areas formally known to the public as the John Tonge Centre.
"In terms of a murder, we would be seeking to give police information to aid their investigation along the lines of . . . if a suspect's DNA profile appears in any of the samples taken from the crime scene," Mr Shaw said.
"I have heard police say DNA analysis is just as important as fingerprints in getting a suspect they can focus on.""

This won't be a popular opinion but as a parent of 4 boys I agree - there's more than one victim here IMO - It is kind of odd that was so indiscrete in terms of flaunting his "wealth" - I would have thought that a drug dealer wouldn't have been so flashy lest they get observed in their haunts - the whole thing doesn't add up.
Sadly I agree with you Fieldsroyal and as the saying goes ' lie down with dogs and you get fleas.'

Yes, I have a feeling that it will be tomorrow that we hear. Regardless of any damage that may have been caused, DNA should still be retrievable within many cells.

And in high profile cases like this, the labs seem to work quite quickly to get a result.

So, Dyball had been "off the radar" from Dec 2015 until he reappeared 5 months ago. I wonder if authorities have been keeping a loose eye on him, since his arrest in Germany and deportation back here. Perhaps they have a lot of covert knowledge about what he has been up to, who he has been associating with, and possibly that is how they knew immediately that Sam had been involved with 'unsavoury people'.

'I have his sawn off shotgun and will use it to avenge him', Dyball reportedly said, according to YPG's PR arm.

Dyball was arrested in Germany in December 2015 during a break from the front lines and deported back to Australia as a terrorist.

He was briefly detained by the Australian Federal Police upon his return, and though he was released without charge his passport was confiscated.

The former fighter dropped off the radar until last October, while still under investigation, when he appeared on 7.30 challenging authorities to charge him.

'If I'm the bad guy, then ******ing charge me. I don't care. I'll do my time,' he told the program.

If you are following similar people it'll pop up who's following who. Don't worry nothing to see any way. Just a bio saying 'The crazy life' in Italian and a small pic you can't even zoom as the profile pic which is RB with a cat.

:maddening:

The reason he got off is because of the offences the prosecution was going for it was ONLY a murder conviction. Hence not guilty hence free. If they were going for other things such as assault , threatening someone etc maybe he wouldve gotten guilty for that. I don't understand enough to know why they chose to try convict only of murder.

Thats right we only know wnat the police let us know. They have to have a lot of evidence to swoop in and arrest Dyball, it wont be for nothing. Like others said for starters the pings off his mobile showed him in the areas of the crime scene and where the body was dumped it isnt a coincidence unfortunately.

Yes, that's what I think, too. And hence, they probably already knew that Sam was within the circle of Dyball's associates. And probably already 'knew' exactly what was going on, in terms of dealing.

Which consequently led to very quick arrests. imo

Grrrr. It really annoys me that he came back as a terrorist and has now gone on to allegedly murder someone :(
