Few months after going missing

Warwick detectives yesterday confirmed that Ms Buckland - who has been missing since mid-August - had recently written to family members telling them she was alive and safe, but had not revealed her actual whereabouts.

THE Queensland Police Missing Persons Unit believes missing Warwick woman Tanya Buckland is still alive, more than three years after her disappearance.
Ms Buckland – who would now be aged 40 – was last seen in Warwick on Sunday 11 August 2013.

Her case was part of the Hackathon, hoping for new clues!

A group of cyber sleuths from Adelaide has taken out the national missing persons "hackathon", finding nearly 100 new pieces of information for police to investigate.

The team from Saab Australia placed first out of 96 teams which took part in the National Missing Persons Hackathon last week.

The event was the first of its kind to be held in Australia and saw more than 350 "ethical hackers" gather at 10 locations around the country to generate leads for 12 of Australia's missing-person cold cases.
