The user name of the person selling the books is also the name of an 8-year old sight impaired girl who, in 2020, was gifted an inclusive doll with a white mobility cane as used by blind people.
Since you've brought this up again, my sense of those titles were that they were what you find in the cheap basket at the newsagent. $5 each is about par; less than the RRP but not a particularly good deal.

The phenomenon seems to be adequately described in Bjork's song "Sick For Toys".

The lyrics

Sick For Toys
Björk

This girl I know she's sick for toys.
She needs a brand new toy she's tired of her old toys.
She's got a big house full of old toys what can she do?
She disposes of her old toys and in a small garden
She finds a small boy.
She smiles,
She's happy she found her new toy a small boy.
She uses the new toy to watch her comb her hair,
Day in day out,
Night in night out.
In the end she fell asleep exhausted,
The boy cut off all of her hair,
She was bald,
She might not now bee sick for toys...

No not a large family. So far, we have been told that TK had one brother and they were both brought up by their grandmother who died three years ago. Was TK in foster homes before that?

His father lives in Karratha north of Carnarvon and his mother has not been mentioned. When he had a high speed car chase with police, in the car with him were two females - his aunt and his 6 year old niece.

TK went to Carnarvon High School and then to Carnarvon Senior School. I wonder if he did his HSC? It appears that he is at least of average intelligence.

NOTE: It is impossible to give you just one link here as I have collected this information from various TV and media articles as I am interested in Family of Origin. IMO TK's childhood background is important to understand.

I don't know if he was ever in a foster home. I knew he and his brother were raised by the grandmother but I've also read that he does come from a large family, however that doesn't necessarily mean siblings. I have more than a passing interest in his family background but haven't had much time to look into it yet.

TK, 36, arrived at Casuarina Prison in shackles at 1.50pm on Friday, where he will be held on remand until at least his next court appearance in December. (6th Dec) (NEWS.com.au)

Government of Western Australia - Inspection of CASUARINA PRISON - 2019 https://www.oics.wa.gov.au/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Casuarina-Report-129.pdf
Aboriginal people remained heavily over-represented, making up 35 per cent of the prison population. Casuarina was originally intended to house mainly long-term sentenced prisoners, but much of the overall population growth in the last six years has been driven by an increase in remand numbers. Casuarina now holds a significant number of prisoners on remand – typically about 40 per cent of the prison population.

I found some images of inside Casuarina Prison:- 2 photos of inside the cells, one in the old section and one in the new section.

I'm no expert on prisons, but this one looks more comfortable than many I've seen.

Planning is also underway to open a purpose-built mental health unit at Casuarina Prison by 2023.

"There are about 800 prisoners with a priority-rated major mental illness, a cohort which includes some of the State’s most vulnerable, dangerous and high-risk individuals," Commissioner Hassall said. "Significant resources and staff are devoted to the mental health and wellbeing of prisoners and major reforms are underway to enhance prevention and treatment across the custodial estate." Mental health care and support is being provided by psychiatrists, psychologists, mental health nurses and Aboriginal mental health workers.

There are specialised management units for at-risk prisoners to monitor their care, including hourly observations and 24-hour CCTV monitoring. "Separate confinement is a management tool for the good order and security of a prison, as well as the safety of an individual prisoner, that is tightly controlled and done in accordance with legislation," Commissioner Hassall said.
An Aboriginal Elders program and peer support program are widely used across prisons to provide cultural and emotional support. A ligature-minimisation program continues to be rolled out across the State’s prisons. Cells are fitted with duress alarms to hasten emergency responses.

7news.com.au ran the story also, they referenced their source as WA news article that you mentioned:-
The crucial clue that helped crack the case of CS whereabouts
“His phone was allegedly in the area as part of the data collection,” the source told The West.

I think we were all hoping someone would be caught back awhile ago when phone pings and mobile towers were being discussed

Does anyone know the normal turn around from when someone's phone pings for that information to be looked at, is it weeks or days?

Seems TK must be rather savvy, it has been suggested that he was replying to his own social media accounts.... I just had a look at the screen shot from before the page was closed down, and one of them the reply is in perfectly spelt Italian. That would take a bit of work to research the words, and then transpose them correctly.

Before his accounts were deleted, he posted quite a few comments to Police facebook posts and specific pages eg "Protect our children from adult predators - WA" A lot of these comments were VERY aggressive about punishments (formal and informal "prison justice") that should be applied to sex offenders.

In one of his comments he mentioned he'd been in the foster system and it had not gone well for him. He might have bounced around a few foster homes before they managed to place him with his grandmother.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was sexually abused as a child. Maybe that's the thing with the dolls, a coping thing. Some root connection to his childhood innocence or something. Those dolls may represent something.

I don't want to sound gracious towards him, just saying I think his issues run deep.

Sounds like he was in his own fantasy world, was lonely and had a lot of time on his hands to obsess over it all.

Perhaps in Foster homes he himself was molested?

I know it's the Sun but...

TK was admitted to hospital for a second time after he was allegedly attacked by another prisoner inside a police holding cell, according to the Mail.
He had only been at Carnarvon police station for a few hours when he was allegedly set upon by an angry inmate.

That prisoner's mother told the outlet that her son was "furious" when he discovered why TK was being detained.
She alleged: "As soon as he heard this bloke was arrested over that little CS, he blew up, beat him black and blue. I tell you what, he got a real hiding... my son had to be taken out in shackles, and he was taken for treatment.

He was in a bad way. He is a big bloke but he really copped it."

A spokesman for WAPOL said they wouldn't be commenting on the woman's claims, but confirmed that TK had been treated in hospital for a range of injuries.

Police set to spend weeks scouring Carnarvon property where four-year-old was allegedly locked up
Police and forensics may take another several weeks to finish collecting evidence from CS's alleged abductor’s Carnarvon home.
Tonkin Crescent residents told The West Australian police had advised them that TK's house could be taped off for up to two months, as they continue scouring the property the four-year-old was allegedly locked in for 18 days.
A large forensic tent was erected at the front of the property on Saturday morning with about half-a-dozen officers, dressed in full body suits and masks, seen walking around the duplex.
The two-bedroom property, located just 1.5km from the local police station and 3km from CS's family home, has been cordoned off for nearly four days while police painstakingly examine every item inside.
Several large brown paper bags were seen stacked near the forensic marquee.

I think the police have confirmed that any injuries were self inflicted. That story seems fabricated and you have to ask yourself why police would put their most high-profile criminal in a shared cell.

I know he banged his head when he was being taken away while crying, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry". Maybe there were 2 separate events, because it has been reported elsewhere that he was taken to hospital twice.

Nice touch.. The man fraudulently slandered by Channel 7 has been offered a pro bono lawyer, ready to tootle off to Canarvon ..

On the other hand, it would be jolly hard to lose that suit.

IMO He could have been abused by a member of his own family and that is why he ended up in foster care.
