So if he was fronting the job centre, he was on Newstart, people on disability don't need to do that. It has been established that the Bratz collection was at least 10 years old, so it's not like he had to pony up for all those dolls at once, and most collectors trade their way up as well as make purchases along the way. He may have been trading in other things too to make a bit of extra on the side, he had enough to go to the TAB for instance. The beard is real, and he also gained a fair bit of weight since some of the photographs we have seen in media, so I assume those images are a few years old at least.

I thought he was just seen outside at 3am, as in was in the backyard .. not lying down or sleeping out there.

Some people on a disability payment still need to have appointments with a job provider and are required to do a set amount of work hour's per week. It depends on what type of disability you have and how you can function from day to day. It is very hard to obtain a full disability pension these day's. Centrelink had a big overhaul and some people on a disability pension were subjected to a review that required all new information and updated doctor reports/assessments.

My son is on a disability payment and he's required to do 15hrs p/wk.

Even with a flimsy wall between the two residences, and the bedrooms being furthest away from the common wall, I notice that TK's neighbour was away for the week prior to CS being found - so he wouldn't have heard anything for at least that last week.

"TK’s next-door neighbour had been away for a week when little CS was found and friends rang to tell him the news."

"He has described TK as the perfect neighbour who didn’t drink, smoke or take drugs."

"The two would occasionally chat as they took out the bins and TK would keep an eye on his house if he was away."

The neighbour was away, but had people staying there to look after the house.

The wall between the 2 duplexes wouldn't just be timber and fibro wall. By the law you'll find that a solid structure would need to seperate the 2 for fire reasons. Most likely a double brick structure, with timber and then fibro attached.

My government owned house is a brick home, I can bang on my walls running around the outside and they sound hollow...but I know there's a brick structure on the outside.

Inside look at duplex shared by alleged abductor Terence Kelly

This is inside the house that has an identical layout to the one where CS was found.

Inside pic of TK's neighbour's duplex

The empty room you see in this pic, is actually the lounge...but I guess we can see by the colour of the wall, the ceiling fan and the CORNICE that the bedrooms would be similar. That proves that TK'S doll room was in a room at that duplex IMO

Agree, we only noticed our neighbours when they sat out on the step smoking and talking loudly late at night

Media are just sensationalising the "paper thin walls". There would be a solid structure between the 2 duplexes. Possibly a brick wall. With most duplexes, high rise buildings that are built these days use the precast concrete walls.

Oh yeah you need a firewall in, prob double brick, we actually had to put one in once where a building had been divided before current regulations.

The vehicle in the driveway has been left behind after the police have packed up. They have already forensically examined this vehicle but obviously didn't find anything of interest.
Could this mean its not the car that took CS from the blowholes?

In my opinion, they have probably collected the evidence and don't need to continue - there was probably minimal evidence in the car anyway, considering there is not a dead body in this case.

Detectives who rescued CS say final goodbye before leaving Carnarvon as investigation moves to Perth
November 12, 2021 2:38PM - Perth Now

Forensic officers and detectives working on the CS case are wrapping up their investigation in Carnarvon and moving back to Perth for the next phase of the probe.
Forensic operations at Mr Kelly’s home began packing up on Thursday, as most of the Task Force Rodia team started returning to Perth.

Investigations will continue in the state’s capital city.

Just two days ago, forensic officers turned their attention to a Mazda SUV

Police are still yet to find the grey and red sleeping bag that CS was curled up in when she was allegedly abducted.

Mr Kelly remains in a maximum-security prison in Perth.

He is scheduled to face court again next month.

Detectives say final goodbye

I am kind of leaning towards that but it is baffling because of the very long scruffy beard he had when arrested.

In some of his FB pictures, clean shaven, he looks very feminine and could easily pass for a female. But how fast did he grow that scruffy beard?

Oh! I didn’t realize he had a beard when arrested.

I had hoped as much ;)
My reply was very much tongue in cheek also. Not sure which mental image I find more disturbing, the alleged abductor as some kind of anti-santa or as a Mrs Doubtfire wannabe in Granny’s old clothes.
JMO.

I don't think it was a joke. The fake beard theory seemed to be serious, which is baffling. lol :)

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed>

The hair dye is something i'm having trouble ruling out - even though I always listen to the police on these matters. I showed the images to a hair specialist and she mentioned that it can't have been lighting due to the red. I can't think of another reason it was this way, unless the prior photos were much older or - i don't know- I guess we just have to accept it's ruled out even though that's hard because it looks so fundamentally different.
