As stated - phone stays active.
As stated, he could ring for help. He didn’t.

Yea I agree and wondered if it had farm animal blood on it if not a DNA match to TheoI just find it bizarre that that bat would just be left out in the open and abandoned like that, especially with those words on it and possible blood. If used to harm, it’s a HUGE piece of identifying and incriminating evidence. Makes me wonder if it was left intentionally, or planted, along with the cap.
Or someone/they grabbed his phone off him, and Theo chased him/them all or part way to CCLighthouse podcast #3.
Theo stopped at the end of Tennyson for 7 minutes. Seems it’s a youth hangout with a fire pit etc. It’s beside the YAK homeless camp, and it was mentioned that there’s also a camp there for delinquents. It appears like he ran off with randoms.
He paused at the end of Tennyson for almost 10 minutes. There’s stuff there that gives the impression it’s used as a hangout, and it neighbours an outdoor living space for homeless and youth. Seems he hung around for a bit and then headed for the beach. Seems he had his phone on him the whole time according to his family.Or someone/they grabbed his phone off him, and Theo chased him/them all or part way to CC
It was in the sand dunes at Clarke’s Beach, so may have been initially thrown in the ocean anyway, which would/should sterilise it. Just say someone returned for the phone, then you’d imagine they would continue that mindset to return for other connected stuff too. Who the hell knows? There’s so many loose ends here that it feels impossible until someone in the know starts talking.I don't really find it bizarre that someone would throw away a piece of evidence that, if it was linked to a crime, would directly implicate that person if caught with it. I a calm someone might have had the sense to burn it, but then again might assume the weather would remove DNA traces. Another thing to take into consideration is that, if someone did use this weapon on a person that resulted in a death, the first thing a person would want to do is get rid of that person. Gloves may have been worn while handling the bat, or it might have a large amount of DNA on it, which would provide misdirection. I can see one in a state of panic, or high adrenalin contented with the body and forgetting or dismissing the bat, especially if they feel guilty and are trying to distance themselves from the crime.
Theo was also dancing on the table which isn’t uncommon there either. The girl dancing with him needs to be identified as it’d be ludicrous to minimise her contact without closer examination. Of course dancing with others is typical behaviour, however we’re looking for info on how and why he deviated off the expected path that night and everyone around him would hold info. There’s visuals of her, and the other two girls that need to be put out in public to enable identification and interviews. If the police haven’t spoken with them, they need to.The process of removal is probably best when grabbing an intox person on their way out of the toilet. The process would have been something like:
TH is observed sculling. TH was then observed buying another beer. They would have been assessing people on the dancefloor for any signs of intox. TH would have walked to the toilet, and the bouncer in charge would have said just grab him on his way out.
Another suggestion might be that they suspected someone was doing coke in the toilets and suspected it was TH. Grabbing after they perhaps thought he's just had some.
Another suggestion might be that they observed him only but 2 beers in the time he was there and took a dislike to that, or that he seemed more intox than his consumption would suggest.
A group of young backpackers drinking CM's. I would suggest that someone trying to get another person's attention by dancing close to them is common. I wouldn't consider it suspicious.
After listening to the podcast, I believe 7 minutes that TH stopped for is very significant. So is the location.
The indigenous fella was pretty onto it.
But why did he go that way in the first place?
It could be that he knew someone camping in that location, in a car. It could be that he heard a rumor it was a location that people hung out in, and thought it'd be a cool traveler's type of vibe, but got that wrong.
I did work as an RSA (responsible service of alcohol) officer not too long ago.
If a person is playing drinking games, the initial response is to talk to them, keep an eye on them. If it continues; removal.
I imagine a less involved process in BB. Finding any reason for removal would be a common practice in BB. Finding signs of intox is easy and sometimes subjective.
I don't find his removal unusual.
The Podcast never mentioned that? From the CCTV It seemed like the bouncer escorted him outside for a disciplinary chat, then directed Theo to go toward Tennyson St.
