Tiffany Taylor's accused murderer planned to leave the state, court hears
A man accused of murdering pregnant teenager Tiffany Taylor had packed his bags and was planning to leave the state the day before a police interview about her disappearance, a Queensland court has heard.
Rodney Wayne Williams, 65, pleaded not guilty to her murder on the first day of his Supreme Court trial in Brisbane.
The Crown argued Mr Williams met Ms Taylor through an online social networking site.
Prosecutor Philip McCarthy told the court Mr Williams picked up Ms Taylor in his car from her hotel room for a "sexual liaison" on July 12, 2015.
The court heard Ms Taylor was pregnant at the time.
