Wow Myserty that would be a happy day.
The guy might be lawyered up and untouchable by the cops at the moment OR the cops need everything 100% drum tight before the cuffs go on.
In some cases everyone knows who did it, including MSM but it's all kept quiet.
If the perp was known to Toyah & family I can understand why the parents have asked for privacy and not publicly fighting for their daughters justice.
If the perp was a stranger then I don't understand why the parents are lying low and not fighting for justice UNLESS it is known who he/she is.
IMO
Please don't disrespect other's thoughts and sleuthing as 'fanciful'.
Do you think that the family is laying low? Genuine question... I saw the mother (with step dad) reading a long emotion statement last week through qps/ crime stoppers.

I will try and be more tactful in my posts as I didn’t mean to offend. You did ask me twice for my opinion about why it couldn’t be a holiday maker and you did also say I was prentending to mean something that I wasn’t. So I thought I could be robust, but it was probably a bit rude of me in hindsight and I’m sorry. I am very straightforward - no innuendo and I definitely didn’t mean to disrespect your views.

Anyway. Welcome.

You do not have to apologise to any one. No one here owns this discussion, but some think that they do.

Just a thought .... The only road to wangetti is the captain cook hwy however the hwy forks at a roundabout where (heading south) to the right is the suburbs and lake placid and to the left is the city. Most locals in my experience travel the kamerunga road which is to the right towards lake placid which just happens to have a relatively good view from a traffic camera on the qld roads website. I wonder if perhaps they want to confirm on of the pictured cars at Clifton turned towards lake placid?

I just listened to a 7 minute radio segment aired today - John MacKenzie from 4CA speaks with Senior Constable Russell Parker from the Cairns Police about the Toyah Cordingley murder investigation.

I transcribed a small amount.

John MacKenzie asks the Senior Constable (regarding the car footage) "could we say this represents perhaps that this is a reflection of significant progress in the investigation"... Senior Constable says "Oh, John, it's, it's, this is one of these investigations that's been chipping away, and I would have to say that every day we move a little closer to a result, there's a massive amount of information that has come in, a massive amount that we've generated, that the Detectives have generated themselves, that needs to be gone through. Just crime stopper files alone, I think as of yesterday, are up to 1170".

Question asking about the specific time span of the vehicles. Senior Constable Russell Parker says "Ah John, I'm not right across it, but it's just basically as a result of investigations to date, what they were saying the other day about this was that they believe that if indeed the killer travelled southbound back to Cairns, this is the area they believe HE will be in, HE would have come through there, and ah so that's why we want these people too, if they can identify their vehicles, so that we can take those out of the equation. As I say, we've already looked at quite a lot of footage from there, and at extended time frames each side of that but yeah, this is ah , you know we're sort of concentrating on that time at the moment. It's a massive amount of work, but we believe, are hopeful it's going to pay dividends".

There are still over 100 Police, including Homicide Investigators working on the case. He said "they are still extremely motivated, more than he's ever seen for any investigation in the 29 years I've been here".

There's a lot more if you listen to the recording. Same here, I felt very optimistic after listening to the interview and I think they know who the killer is. The noose is tightening, imo.

It's funny when I was googling for updates, I came across a video which I must of missed along the way. It's dated Oct 25 and was most likely posted here, but just in case it wasn't:

Oh yeah, I don’t think I had seen that one either... those dogs are amazing... oh fingers, toes, eyes everything is crossed for her!

I don't know if this is just the media getting confused between the meaning of domestic violence and violence against woman, but I've now seen more than a few articles printed that include Toyah into the number of domestic violence murders committed. You only need to google her name and domestic violence to get the picture.

Quote: However, Ms Palaszczuk says the fact that 11 women were murdered across the country in October alone, including Ms Cordingly, shows the need for more to be done to tackle the issue of violence against women.

Curbing Qld domestic violence 'a priority'

Firstly I quoted Toyah’s parents asked for privacy then in the next paragraph I said they are laying low. Different words IMO same meaning but Toyah’s mother thanked everyone and asked for privacy.
IIRC.

Well, I was optimistic for a Friday arrest and whilst I'm still hoping...................I think I misinterpreted what was intended with the release of the 'car' video.

(a) was it just a 'fishing expedition' by the police?

(b) is it a diversionary tactic to get the perpetrator to think the investigators are looking in one direction while they are really looking elsewhere?

With the number of police working the case (100?) one would think they would check out the drivers of those cars in a very short period of time.
Somehow the police have determined the killer drove to that beach and drove back. That makes me think the killer drove a decent vehicle and wasn't some person 'roughing it' in the sand dunes.
I'm no wordsmith and that is the best way I can phrase it.

I think we can be confident that the Queensland Police have a pretty decent timeline of the events of that afternoon given the 5 minute period, original request of dash cam footage from particular areas at particular times and the stated interested in Caravonica/Lake Placid.

That five minutes of footage has to be significant, given they would have sifted through hundreds of hours of CCTV from throughout that day. My guesses (like some previously mentioned) are that they could be tracking a suspect after seeing them in previous CCTV footage or tracking phone pings? Potentially they have a suspects phone ping and Toyah's phong ping at a similar location and need concrete evidence? This is what happened in the Jill Meagher case where the phone pings mirrored each other.

From the press conference: “Detectives believe the drivers of these vehicles may hold information relevant to the homicide investigation and are urging anyone who recognises them to come forward and register their vehicle with police.”

If MSM is including Toyah in domestic violence that could be a huge clue.

Theres a 'white' circular image around car 57, just about the same time the red jeep/vehicle (?) leaves the petrol station/store/shop... why is the white car highlighted? It's a circular white background. I didn't see it otherwise - in this video? Or maybe i missed others like that? Image is below

#57 didn't cross the intersection that all the other cars were photographed crossing (except for red jeep that pulls out from servo) so they've had to use the shop/servo footage. Another poster suggested #57 might have U turned or pulled in from a different entrance of the servo.

Hi all, I have been looking through the footage again. There is a blue perhaps ford colorado (what do you guys think?) going in the opposite direction, this happens as car number 48 and 49 cross the intersection. I am not sure if youtube is allowed here, however a friend of toyahs has posted a remembrance video. In one of the images with a group of friends (1:30 in) they seem to be posing with a ford ranger as it has the stamp of the make of the car in the photo. The photos are much older, but thought it was interesting. I have just being try to look for any similarities. I have included an image of a ford ranger, an image of the car at the intersection and the image without identifying anyone from the video uploaded on youtube. Please let me know if youtube is not allowed.

As the car image is not very clear in police footage it may not even be the same but wondered what you all thought.

Umm, when I looked a little further. The friend of Toyahs has camping road trip videos with her BF recent fiancé on YouTube in a black Holden hilux. There is also images travelling on lots of road trips up and down the coast even a photograph of attending a “nudey beach” on Fitzroy Island. Appear to road trip from cairns a fair bit and drive a black Holden hilux, interestingly that is very much like car number 53.
