If you read back over the past couple of pages, I have provided the blurb about his credentials.

I think it is a good thing that we have a professional police trainer who is willing to give his opinions on this case.

At least several of us have observed the political push in this investigation, right around the time the selection of a new police commissioner was underway. So to have that opinion reflected in the observations of a police trainer tells some of us that we are likely on the right track.

imo
The politics in particular surrounding this case have been apparent from the 1st week of WT's disappearance to all who have eyes. IMO

The PR company would have no influence of the media, otherwise we wouldn’t see the absolute garbage spat out by the daily mail. I’m not sure what is so hard to understand about the PR ladies forming a friendship with the fosters?
Not hard to understand the PR ladies being there to support the FFC .... as client and friend.
FFC must have chosen, for a reason, to have them rather than another of her close friends. SA has speculated in a post here on WS that she feels that the FFC could be on the verge of a nervous breakdown .... so having support would be important for her. With Jubelin writing a book dedicated to William .... we can speculate that more books will be forthcoming. MOO

Could he not guess with all his qualifications that the NSWCC was another forum to use its special powers to compel the FFFC to give evidence she may well have been withholding and keep the matter private. As the prosecutor said, they could make WT's apparent accident scenario make it look like it wasn't connected to her. Case resolved, remains found, no ramifications. If they had put these questions to the FFFC in the coroners court she could have applied for a certificate to not comply under the grounds that she may self incriminate and everyone would have known she was a suspect. They don't have the evidence to charge her, but she is the logical suspect. If they charged her, she would just clam up. IMO
Yes I agree totally…. And you raise very valid points …
However, I suspect he was questioning the motive behind referring the case to the NSWCC in the first place, possibly suggesting that it was a political motive ..????

JMO

Who is he again please? Has be been working on the case at all?
Perhaps recently by teaching NSW Police the correct way to handle a missing child case from Day 1, and hour 0 - time of Police arrival on scene ….

But otherwise no I don’t think he has worked as a Police Officer since 1996, from what I have read …

IMO

Wonder what “story“ they had in mind to achieve this???

Imagine IF a deal like this was made, it is mind boggling to think that the public can be told such things, that are not truthful, from the highest level…

JMO

Edit to add: Wonder if FF was also offered this deal???

He also received a National Police Service medal in 2017, and a NSW Police Service medal in 2016.
20 years after leaving the police force to seemingly teach and research ethical policing.

"Dr Michael Kennedy, a lecturer in Policing Studies, received the (national) Medal in recognition of his extensive contributions to the NSW Police Force as a detective between 1978 and 1997.
The prestigious honour is given to those who have contributed ethical and diligent service since their initiation.

"Dr Michael Kennedy served 19 years in the NSW Police Force, and these medals reflect his professional and ethical service to policing," says Professor Dunn.

"Since his time in the NSW Police Force, he has continued this service by advancing the professionalisation of policing through tertiary training and his research" ".

At the moment, you're right, it's a matter of opinion.

My opinion is that FFC fooled FACS into thinking she and her husband would be suitable foster carers for small children, fooled someone into keeping her identify quiet for years, fooled Gary Jubelin and threw the neighbour under the bus, hit a child with a wooden spoon to allegedly 'break her', hit and kicked a child, gave police and media varying stories about William and was unable to present and maintain a consistent timeline of events the morning William went missing.

I don't know about you but I don't want her in my bookgroup.
Oh I’d love to have FM in my bookgroup, Would be great to get to know her, and make up my mind definitely about her.
She seems intelligent, and I’ m sure could add some useful thoughts, especially if we discussing a William Tyrrell book.

Thinking that the investigation is similar to BS's, I was thinking that he had an alibi when WT went missing which it seems police /media chose to ignore. What is the FFC's alibi for when he went missing and who can corroborate it?

Edit further, from the FGM's walk through, neither she nor L knew WT was missing until she went lookng for her daughter and found AMS on the street and by that time the FFFC had done a good many things including using her mother's car to search for WT.

Edit further, so a change of plan sees a young child visiting a rural setting, away from home when he goes around a corner of the house and disappears from 2 attentive adults. Although he doesn't wander it is assumed he did wander down to the road and was opportunistically abducted by a stranger for reasons unknown. There hasn't been any evidence of this child being alive or dead since that time. Prior to anyone else knowing he is missing, the FFFC searches by herself including going driving for him.

The only thing that her or her mother can think has happened is that he was abducted. Maybe they are insisting that is what happened to him because they know that he was indeed abducted from 48 Benaroon Dr...... by her. my speculation only

I feel so dumb, it's taken me 8 years to realise that she has no alibi from the moment she went around the side of the house until she sees AMS at exactly the same time WT has disappeared....mind you she did everything she could not to give a straight answer around this crucial part of the day.. Terrible timing and bad luck. MOO

What does it say to you?
It means to me, that it wasn't only a little bit of jealousy and naughtiness. I speculate, that little L became old enough meanwhile to detect some things, be it out of some conversations, she overheard, or be it out of the behavior of her foster parents. In addition, she has her own memories, although perhaps only fragmentary, since 2014, when her little brother disappeared. When L felt helpless or mistreated, maybe she countered with very unpleasant (but true) accusations re the disappearing of her little brother. "She is still going on about it" - and seemed to be a danger to the parents. Speculation as I said before, but that makes sense to me, when I learn of the actions (trying to "break" the child) and of the conversation between the parents. The problem was even so important to the parents, that they had to clear it already on the phone instead of talking about it, when MFC would be at home.

She's very good at spinning out an answer until you can't remember the question, distraction, dissembling and plain old prevarication. <modsnip - criticizing WS members> JMO

I think the PR team is doing a great job of diverting the conversation and speculation away from the fosters.

FM was found not guilty of 'deliberately' lying to the crime commission, period. Even though it was reported from the hearing that she indeed admitted in a phone conversation shortly afterward that she'd used the wooden spoon, was heard asking the child where it was, etc., the only issue at question was whether she deliberately lied about ever hitting a child with a wooden spoon. Not that she in fact DID it, or even that she in fact lied about it, but that she 'deliberately' lied about it. But from the judge not being able to 100% guarantee that FM lied 'deliberately' during the CC hearing, some seem to translate that to: the judge believes FM.
"Magistrate Miranda Moody said she could not "discount the possibility she was mistaken and did not deliberately lie" to the commission..." William Tyrrell's foster mum found not guilty of lying to NSW Crime Commission

Which not-guilty-for-deliberately-lying-verdict prompted a speech from FM to media after court, asking police to focus on finding out what happened to William. As if that isn't what police have been doing all along? As if, just because police are focusing on FM, they are therefore not focusing on finding out what happened to William?
"“She’s found me not guilty of lying to the crime commission. “With this behind me, I hope that police focus on finding William and what happened to him.”" https://www.theaustralian.com.au/br...n/news-story/2945626eb390eab1a09aeb0d3ad27e6a

And then an ex cop who's been writing about improprieties in policing for many years, is quoted in an article, saying police have 'stuffed up' the 'fruitless' WT investigation, even though he's not involved in working the case, because they're expected to solve crimes even though they're not actually solved, for political reasons. 'There's been a major stuff up and police have been expected to get outcomes that aren't possible,' he told the Daily Telegraph.

Which all seems to have culminated in a dailymail article inferring from all of that, that :
  • Comments follow foster mother being cleared of involvement in secret hearing
even though FM has not been cleared of 'involvement', she has only been 'cleared' of 'deliberately lying' to the CC, and she wasn't cleared of anything in a secret hearing, she was 'cleared' in a regular courtroom after being charged by police for what she said during that secret hearing. Words matter, Daily Mail!
Police 'stuffed up' William Tyrrell investigation, expert says

All imo.

FGM and the FD, but neither of them can because the FFFC disappeared from their view and everyone elses view it seems until 10.35-10.40 am .............that's really unfortunate for her.

Very unfortunate that nobody in a country town, on big blocks saw her for 5 minutes whilst she was looking for William - or are you saying she vanished for longer? The timeline doesn't seem to say so.
