The article is dated the 4th. It's the 11th in Australia, correct?

I really am wondering if something big is coming?

It's nearly 12.30pm on the 11th December in NSW, Australia. Still nothing.

Was Jubelin involved in that case? There is a sizeable contingent of detectives in NSW. A few attending a funeral wouldn't prevent another from speaking on another case. There are several options I can think of; maybe whatever he was going to say no longer applies due to some kind of breakthrough they can't yet share. Or perhaps they had info that they thought was legit that turned out not to be (such as when they were about to 'rescue' the kid in QLD that at the last minute turned out not to be WT).

Still no update :(. Hope there will be news in the coming week.

My thoughts are with William's family, how incredibly painful to be facing another Christmas without William.

Hope that if there's someone who knows or suspects what happened to William, they will find the courage and decency to come forward.

What happened to the update?
Maybe media reported it wrong, there was no direct quote from Jubelin was there?

The article in the port news had quotes from DI Jubelin,,but the part about him giving an update next week wasn't a direct quote.

I was just going to post that maybe it was bad reporting. Hoping not. With so many wanting answers.......What a thing to get wrong :/

There is a saying "money talks". I think offering a substantial reward would get someone talking. Offering rewards for information regarding deceased (sadly) persons seems wrong when there is a chance William is still alive. This will be the second Christmas William will not spend with his family. This is dragging out too long. Time for a change of tactics.

I saw something on Youtube, I hadn't realized Gary Jubelin is on this

Absolutely thrilled that he is

this will be resolved one way or another imo;

Jubelin sounds as though he believes it was a Driveby by an Opportunist (most likely Spedding)

A Worst Case Scenario type thing. Daniel Morcombe style.

Oh.. I hope the media didn't get it wrong, but that was over a week ago now, I wonder what the hold up with the update is, & if it's going to be just a reiterating what we already know "update", or an actual updated piece of information.

I'm not sure when the video you watched is dated.
I truly believe if it was Spedding who picked up WT, this would have been resolved by now. Spedding has been put through the ringer (not saying it's not deserved) and had everything in his house and vehicles checked and tested.
I think it's a much, much larger story than just Spedding.

SEPTEMBER

7: "He was roaring and then nothing. My last sound memory of him is 'rarr', and then it's nothing. It's just silence and he's vanished." - William Tyrrell's mother on what happened leading up to his disappearance a year earlier.

It just breaks your heart. It must be so difficult for William's family to deal with every moment of every day. It's a nightmare situation for all families of the missing here. I just wish the case would break open. The detectives must be affected emotionally too I don't doubt they are doing everything they can.

NSW Police Force have just announced on their Facebook page that a $100000 reward has been offered in the case of a woman missing since December 2012. I cannot understand why a reward has not been offered in William's case. Surely this would help in finding him. After all, the reward would only be paid if evidence/information was forthcoming. And where is the update that was supposed to be released to the public last week. These strategies are taking too long. This poor little boy needs to be found now. All the secrecy regarding this case has, in my opinion, hindered finding William from the beginning.

After posting this I read the ABCs interview with Det. Jubelin. No, they are not doing everything to find William. Offer a reward and see what happens. Why is one person who went missing in 2012 more important than another. And a three year old child at that. The person who took William is feeling more and more safe as time goes on. Offering a reward would surely rattle their cage And those associated or involved.

Yes, beats me, louisepiglet; couldn't agree more!
