Thanks Pizza, so the breach sounds like a reporting issue ( 'breach of reporting conditions').....is that checking into a Police Station at set intervals? He didn't turn up perhaps.

How dumb can someone be not to give the required report in time?? PB means to be just a normally guy? I would say: he behaves like a criminal.

Bickford faced court for allegedly breaching orders over a three-week period last year.

Police allege he broke those obligations between 8am and 11am on October 13 last year.

Maybe he arranged a journey with his grandson during school holidays and wouldn't/couldn't report?

Detectives searching for missing NSW boy William Tyrrell interviewed an elderly man who lived in the same town 'several times'.

Derek Nichols was interviewed several times, according to reports. The elderly man lived in the same town from which William disappeared in 2014, however, he said he was out of town at the time.

Mr Nichols said crimes in Victoria had seen him added to the child protection register. He said he was at Dunbogan when William Tyrrell went missing.

There are about 20 people on the child protection register in the area where William Tyrrell disappeared.

This article has Ann Battishall as GAPA president by May 2014. Wonder when PB stood down as president.

GAPA's former president Paul Bickford, who stepped down last year, has been charged with the indecent assault of a child.

Another former GAPA member, Anthony Jones of Wauchope, has also been charged with indecent assault.

It is understood he was charged shortly after William vanished from his grandmother's yard in Kendall on September 12, 2014.

Mr Battishall said the men left GAPA as soon as members found out about the alleged assaults, which he said occurred before William disappeared.

Well that's interesting... out of town at Dunbogan. Right where BS was allegedly doing his washing machine repairs.

Thanks, froggy. Why is that that they can't seem to understand that it doesn't matter WHEN the alleged assaults occurred. The fact that they allegedly did occur, and Bickford has confessed, makes them grubs. No excuses. Put them in jail and let natural justice play its course, IMO.

Missing boy found alive 13 years after abduction

Julian Hernandez, 18, was just five years old and living in Alabama when he was abducted by his father

Before the discovery, Julian had been living with his father, another woman and two younger children for at least five years.

Here are five more amazing stories in which children were able to escape their kidnappers and come home

julian was abducted by his father not a stranger
but yes, i hope that, somewhere, william is still alive although at the same time i certainly hope he is not in the hands of any deviant

Quilters stitch to support grandparents
May 13, 2014,

"In NSW there are about 11,000 children being raised by their grandparent carers giving them a ratio of three to one over foster carers," Mrs Battishall explained.

"Unlike foster carers, grandparent carers receive little support from either the federal or State governments and in fact, in the last two years that support has fallen dramatically. In such a climate it is hard for associations to survive but to our credit our membership has grown and services maintained."

Those services include a hotline, respite care, respite camps, social outings, chaplain services, outreach programs, home visits and advocacy.

River City Community Quilters (RCCQ) has been a long-time supporter of GAPA and Mrs Battishall said that "without these great people we would not be able to give our members the services they so richly deserve."

MONDAY marks 500 days since young William Tyrrell disappeared from his grandmother's yard and child protection advocates are calling for answers.

Ms Johnston said Australia Day would mark two tragedies - 501 days since William disappeared and the 50th anniversary of the disappearance of the Beaumont children.

The Beaumont children, Jane, 9, Kathleen, 7, and Grant, 4, disappeared from a beach near Adelaide on Australia Day in 1966.

How awful :(

Just popping in to say time has pretty much resolved the Beaumont Children

Bevan Spencer Von Einem.

He is serving LWOP for murdering Kelvin Crease and is suspected of murdering the other victims of the so called "Family" murders down here.

BSVE was spotted in the crowd when reporters went to Glenelg to ask passersby about the Children.

Too much of a coincidence to be a coincidence imo. He also fits the description of the young man seen playing with the children, perfectly.

Jubelin's involvement indicates Police believe William is deceased. :( He works Homicide.

from most msm articles ive seen, homicide joined the team after 3 months, around dec 21, although by sept 17 a police strike force had been set up and the sex crimes squad brought in so homicide could have possibly been among the specialist investigators then,
sadly i feel police do believe he has passed and advised the parents, and now investigators have more time to dig deep and gather more evidence, the feeling of urgency has gone.

actually it was less than a week when homicide came in according to this sydney morning herald article......

A frantic search of the home yielded nothing and about half an hour later at 11.06am, police arrived.
Forty-eight hours later the sex crimes squad was involved. Less than a week on, the homicide squad had carriage of the case.

The disappearance of William Tyrrell has been officially referred as a “suspected death’’ to NSW Coroner Michael Barnes, who helped solve the murder of Queensland schoolboy Daniel Morcombe.
A coroner’s file into the case of the three-year-old, last seen a year ago playing with his sister in their grandmother’s garden on the NSW mid-north coast, was opened in February, paving the way for a possible inquest into the suspected abduction.
With a NSW police strike force actively investigating William’s disappearance, however, an inquest into what took place is not expected to happen soon.

These same issues trouble veteran homicide detective Gary Jubelin, who took over this case in early February after the retirement of a colleague. Jubelin’s first task was a comprehensive review of the search. “Once I was assured that it was a thorough and professional search then, OK, if he’s not lost, he’s been snatched.” After meticulously investigating William’s immediate and wider family the detectives have ruled them out. They’ve come to the conclusion he was snatched by a stranger; one terrifyingly likely motive is sexual gratification. They are hunting for a paedophile.

When I read the older articles I have to keep reminding myself .... it was known that cars were parked in the street .... from day one.

so does this mean det jubelin thought the initial investigation may have been poorly handled and needed a comprehensive review?

maybe bs involvement in this is he alerted the car drivers there would be children there that morning and they were waiting to grab either one, maybe both?

sorry about the underlining, its not to make a point, i dont know how to get rid of it?!

After police handed over the file, Mr Barnes and his team began to find flaws in the investigation, including the failure to delve deep into the past of Daniel’s now convicted killer Brett Peter Cowan — who was known by police, but ruled out as a suspect — and to test alibis.

Operation Twigg led to at least 30 people being charged prior to William’s disappearance last year.
Police would not say whether they have made any connections between Operation Twigg and the disappearance of William.

A number of people investigated as part of the operation remain on the mid north coast and are listed on the child protection register.
