I find it confusing that one neighbor says the occupants own the house while another says they rent the house.

It is believed the couple rent the property and moved in a few years ago, neighbours say.

''Resident Dean Pollard said the couple who owned the house on Wandoo Place are the guardians of at least three grandchildren''

"One neighbor indicates that one of the grandchildren played with her dog and yet another neighbor indicates children are not seen outside playing in yard."

''She told Fairfax Media she did not know the couple that well but said one of their grandchildren often played with her dog Wilfred"

"Another neighbour said she had met the man and two of his grandsons for the first time at a street Christmas party last year".

"The grandmother has been a resident of the area for three years.''

"You never really see them. I've never seen kids playing in their yard."

THE man whose house is being raided by police searching for William Tyrell has been appealing for help to find the missing boy, saying: “Don’t give up looking.”
On his Facebook page, the local grandfather has been posting updates about the four-month search for the little boy who disappeared on September 12 last year.
On December 4 the man shared a link to a photo of little William in a blue checked shirt and a message that said: “Today, somebody is keeping a secret. They got up this morning. Had breakfast. Realized they need to pick up some more milk. Wasted time on Facebook. Made some ca...lls. All the while maintaining a poker face.”
The man added his own message: “’Don’t give up looking.”
On December 7 he shared a link to the page Bring Little Spiderman William Tyrell home
that marked three months since William went missing.
“Where is he?” the man posted.

5am raid huh? They must be pretty sure .. saw the Facebook posts .. makes you wonder about the decision making process involved in placing children who can't live with their biological parents, seems to me if the parents issues are so bad that their own children can't live with them, then placing the grandkids in the home where the damaged parents were raised might not be the smartest move without a fair bit of investigation into their psychological makeup, and the psychological causes of the 'complicated situation' which made the placement necessary .. right?

confusing ...........

confusing ...........

could have been a message or warning to someone, family member? that he knows what they did? or a feeble means of attention seeking because of his own guilt?

Adult children make their own decisions so I suppose you can't blame the parents for that, it would be difficult to be able to say exactly why the choices were made and why the children needed care. I suppose every situation is different but from what I have seen about childrens services, they do investigate before placing children.

I've seen a few ''power plays'' in my day too -- punitive reasons for guardianship -- not pretty. For some it is an economic one too ((nasty)) JMO

What I mean is, say someone is a junkie for instance or has some other kind of unstable lifestyle, well that might be the result of a dysfunctional upbringing which may not be obvious, like say sexual abuse for instance.

A fibro cabin in a caravan park on the NSW mid-north coast has been searched by police investigating the disappearance of toddler William Tyrell after residents reported hearing cries of a child in the weeks after the three-year-old vanished.

Police searched a cabin at The Haven caravan park at Laurieton, just south of Port Macquarie at the end of last week.

The owner of the caravan park told Fairfax Media that a resident had called police after hearing a child crying in a cabin where a middle-aged couple from Victoria stayed from September 28 to October 9

"They heard an infant crying and they thought it was coming from that cabin," the owner said.

"We don't have kids, [nor are there] many children in the park; they are all retired here, so it is an unusual sound," he said.

The owner said he gave the address of the couple to police and "away they went"

Just out of curiousity has anyone read any of the psychic blogs about this case? I'm open minded... there is some freakishly accurate stuff that I read coming back to me now that this is unfolding. The caravan park was a big one, as was William being not far from where he disappeared. It's so accurate I'm wondering if police actually used some of this information???? I know that NSW police will consider information from psychics... although I doubt it's enough to obtain a warrant.

Pictures have emerged of children's bikes in the driveway and a trampoline in the backyard of a quiet family where police are digging in search for missing NSW three-year-old William Tyrell.

Neighbours in Bonny Hills said an elderly couple, aged in their 50s and 60s, and their three grandchildren aged between nine and 13 have rented the home for at least two years.

lots of pics in the above link :(

People in their 50s are not what I was thinking of when they said "elderly"! That's middle aged. Most 50 somethings are still in full time work. I put elderly at 65+ these days.

Not important really, it just changes my mental picture of what we're looking at

It's very much like the home that William disappeared from, with similar living circumstances for the boys too. They actually had a lot in common.
