Why did they say people had come out of the woodwork when they arrived home if they arrived home at 9.30... before William went missing.

When they returned home, Mr Crabb said people had come 'out of the woodwork' searching for William.

Per drsleuth's post upthread from observations at the inquest (pasted below too and RSBM), they arrived home at 9:30ish and had tea in their yard and thought they heard the postie 10 minutes later. Around 11am ladies came screaming about W being missing. They got in their car and went to a friend's house on the next street over (Ellendale) because they were worried about their swimming pool. By the time they got back, the street was swarmed and police were there at 48B. They were saying people had come out of the woodwork when they arrived home from the neighbour's.

....
The Crabb's evidence was that they got home from being out at 09:30-09:35, sat on back deck having cuppa, thought they heard the postie about 10 mins after arriving home.
....
Some time after having cuppa 2 people ( FFC & MFC) came screaming & shouting up the driveway about William being missing, he was wearing a spiderman suit. This was approx 11am.

The Crabb's immediately got in their car ( no I don't know what it was ) & went to Ellendale Cres where they knew a resident had a pool, they did not see any police when they left, but when they got back police where @ # 48

They could hear lots of people calling out "William"
....

They were talking about people being everywhere when they got home AFTER going & checking the house in Ellendale ,which had a pool ( they drove their car around there) , this was AFTER they had been home from being out & AFTER they heard what they thought was the postie & AFTER the FFC & MFC came running up their driveway frantic.

Hope that makes sense!

It does thank you. Relying on media can be tricky

Yep , had a few micro sleeps today waiting....:p

It's so much better being in the court room...........there is so much that doesn't get put in tweets.

Definitely. I read here a few days ago, someone is taking all their information from Lia's tweets. There is sooo much more. Some of the gaps are filled in in evening reports but even if you had access to it all verbatim you still don't get the body language or the facial expressions.

Exactly & it's so hard ( I'm no journalist  ) to relay exactly what was said ( & remember )

Thanks for the info
To answer a few of your questions :

They were looking after Miller's place. Did not have a key. Millers were in QLD

The Crabb's evidence was that they got home from being out at 09:30-09:35, sat on back deck having cuppa, thought they heard the postie about 10 mins after arriving home.

Neither saw PS that morning , but knew he went for a walk up the fire trail everyday.

Some time after having cuppa 2 people ( FFC & MFC) came screaming & shouting up the driveway about William being missing, he was wearing a spiderman suit. This was approx 11am.

Mrs Crabb gave evidence that they contacted a relative of the Millers ( who lived in Kew ) & obtained a key for the Miller's property, which they gave to police & they went in the Millers house & watched the police search it .

Not sure if this has been posted already?

The magistrate overseeing the trial of former homicide detective Gary Jubelin has encouraged NSW Police to “get their act together” after new statements from new witnesses seemed to “magically appear” after the hearing had already begun.

Magistrate Ross Hudson said the court was “extremely bemused” by the sudden arrival of two new statements, and two new witnesses so late in the piece, when the trial has been underway since February 3, and the case against Mr Jubelin has been “living and breathing” since 2019.

“How are police running this investigation?” said Magistrate Hudson, after being asked to permit testimony from two new witnesses. He referred also to the court’s “disquiet and bemusement” at the situation.

Having urged the NSW Police to “get their act together” he nonetheless permitted Detective Senior Constable Paul Apthorpe, who joined the strike force in February 2017, to give evidence, saying it could be “crucial” for the prosecution, “although it may cut both ways.”

Doc said they go for an early morning walk.
Damn that’s early, in another suburb and still home before the *advertiser censored* crows. Dang fit oldies over yonder.
