Wouldn’t be wonderful if the person responsible for William’s disappearance was finally brought to justice?

The new team of investigators with fresh eyes and minds and ways of dealing with people appear to be working wonders, chisseling away behind the scenes.

It often takes a fresh approach to discover what is hidden under the rock slime.

Well they must of I guess ;)

But this person has been ruled out earlier . So it's not someone new to investigators ( if we can believe the recent article )

The investigation has dramatically shifted its focus from previous lines of inquiry to a suspect previously ruled out by detectives then in charge.

Does this mean or imply it is someone ruled out by the previous lead investigator Jubelin. Oh my....

Hmmmm was this new information discovered during AJs search?

Something is telling me both children are linked

I have been thinking about this possibility as well.

Or did William get lost and they just haven’t been able to find him. (I know this may seem a bit far fetched after all this time.)

My thoughts are on the person who GJ mentioned in his book & describes him as : a fat, hairy gorilla of a man living in the area near William's FGM's house. He worried Jube's , his name kept coming up with locals . This person had what looked like a shrine with a photo of William & quotes from Jubes from newspapers hanging up. He was put under surveillance . He was bought in for an interview & at the same time his placed searched covertly...nothing found related to William

Ref : I Catch Killer's : Gary Jubelin Page 269, 270

Or # 35, he was not at the inquest & very little mentioned of him really.........
I'd forgotten all about the gorilla man, he sounded quite strange. From memory GJ concluded that the man was just a lonely person and he was let off the hook.
Thanks for the reminder and the page ref.

Jubes was taken of the case in feb 2019, the new team has been working on this case for some time now ( over 2 1/2 years ) I hope they have come up with the goods :)

Given detectives involved in William's case were on scene at AJs tells me they are linked.

I am sure we want the same outcome no matter what we believe...

They were? Is there a link for that info? I personally didn't see - or read about - any of the same detectives there (but I may have missed it).

Also, do we think that on the same day that AJ was found that this news about William's case would be breaking already? If the cases were linked. Doesn't seem like a heck of a lot of investigation and verification time for that to happen.

Of course we do, I was just saying I don't believe they are linked at all. It's ok to respectfully disagree .

They were probably called in due to their experience with William's case , not because they are connected IMO

I haven't seen the article to say they were called in ( not saying they weren't ) do you have a link?

This is my first post on this case, however I have followed from the beginning.

I don’t believe this ‘new suspect’ name has been mentioned before. I really hope this breaks the case wide open and we finally have answers to what has happened to poor William.

Welcome JustInterested77 :)

There's a Daily Telegraph headline that says they were but I can't get at the article to see whether it confirms that. Sometimes headlines are misleading.

I can read it ... it says some of the same officers who searched for William were searching for AJ (no big surprise there, considering the size of the searches).

It also says that the Homicide Squad were not called in for AJs case.

This latest news has me thinking of PS, I think the scenario of him or his wife accidentally hitting William while backing her car out of the driveway preparing to go to bingo is a possibility. His actions on the day, during the searches, the recordings of his ramblings to his dead wife etc all seem way too suspicious IMO, I know he is elderly & his mind could have been slipping, but even Jubes was convinced he had something to do with William’s disappearance.
Whoever it was, whatever happened to William, let’s hope this time the headlines aren’t just click bait & they actually bring someone to justice & little William home finally.

Yep, there was a reason Jube's was so interested in PS.

His property ( per Jube's book ) was not searched until 3 days later. His statement was not taken until almost 2 weeks later.

In that time, a couple of days after William went missing PS did go pick up & bring back his brother brother from Lismore, Jube's checked to see if cars were searched, the answer was no.

I have an over riding premonition it will be someone who thinks their involvement will never be discovered and have made major errors recently. They would never know how investigators hone in and tell people they are not suspects when in fact they are at top of the list with every possible surveillance technique deployed. I wonder if they have new friends like how the utter filth Cowan got arrested.

Did Cowan have a mate in the Kendall area? Cowan actually lived in northern NSW before his arrest not to far from Casino.

Cowan was convicted of Daniel's abduction and murder in March 2014.
BBM. Are you sure? I understood Cowan grew up in Brisbane, was in NT from 1993, and then lived in Beerwah, Queensland. (Edit: And then Perth, when he was engaged in the sting.) At what point was he living near Casino?

How long did the Newtons stay? Because the search map records Regina Newton being present at the search of the PS block.
