"There will be hundreds of police officers and other people engaged, there are a number of locations and a very high-intensity search planned, so that is the amount of people that we will require," he said.

"This activity is in response to evidence we have obtained in the course of the investigation, not speculative in any way, we are acting on behalf of the coroner and in conjunction with the colonial orders.
"We would be providing daily commentary about what is taking place as you would understand, there is a large amount of work to be undertaken, we will be working specialist areas and people from outside the police force."
Supt Bennett refused to comment about whether there was a person of interest but said it was "highly likely" that if they found something, it would be a body.
He said the operation is "
not speculative in any way" adding, "I don't know who took William. We are hoping to find out throughout this investigation".
"It's highly likely that if we found something, it would be a body. We are looking for the remains of William Tyrrell, no doubt about that," he said.
