God this search is giving me less hope by the day .. they came out all guns blazing a week ago and it seems to be ending in a fizzer. If this comes to nothing it's their last horrah IMO, they will have an uphill battle getting funding for future searches as ministers etc will need a lot of convincing.

Patience is what is needed. This search event is so intricate in nature it requires extreme care not to disturb anything or cause any further damage if something is discovered, and not to leave anything behind. It is very very difficult searching for very small items such as an infants' teeth and smaller bones and fragments in water laden soil. an even higher level of difficulty if the soil is a clay profile. Natural minerals and hummus in the soil stain human skeletal objects making such very difficult to observe. It is a painstaking process. IMO from information provided by a friend who has undertaken many archaeological digs and surveys in European war fields and Egypt.

This is going to be a very long process, they are meticulously going through each bit of soil, this will likely go on for another month on-site at least I suspect based upon delays and timelines provided in various articles. I wouldn't be reading anything into the success or failure of the search at this stage they aren't even a quarter of the way through. The financial commitment of resources suggests they have good intelligence in this matter, you do not commit this much manpower and specialists to a fishing expedition. They would have been planning this for months.

I hope you are right.

In referrence to the "ADHD" possibility. This doesn't necessarily present itself in risk taking behaviour - climbing trees, running on to roads. ADHD could be in regards to having difficulty staying focused with a task/activity for long periods. In the photos of W drawing - the crayons seem scattered around. I'm just wondering if that suggests he's not really drawing but playing with them in a different way than what you would expect typically. Even the mention of the dice with chucking them around it kind of points to not being able to do a activity for long periods - and needing a constant variation of activities. This is not unusual but maybe compared to his sister means he needs more - imput and more time - whereas sister can amuse herself with one activity. So drawing for him was - make a card - then finish. For his sister maybe she was content to keep drawing/ colouring in. I'm curious what was planned for him to do next. No lego/trains - ipad. MOO

Daily Mail is reporting, Twist in William Tyrrell search as police DIVERS swoop on a rainwater tank at his foster grandmother's house, they then inspected the Benaroon Drive home's water tank with a camera. The tank is located directly underneath the property's five metre tall verandah. It’s not clear if the tank was drained in the initial search for William when he disappeared seven years ago on September 12, 2014.
Geez, I remember a user here years ago pointing to the rain water tank. I seem to recall another user saying they would call crime stoppers to suggest it. They only just now decide to look in there!?!?!

wasnt there mention of dog doodoos and bindies (really awful prickles) in relation to when William was wearing sandals. Sketchy memory here.
Yes, it is touched on in this article.
William Tyrrell’s grandmother has lost all hope of her grandson being found

The photo was taken on the day the little boy disappeared and according to The Daily Telegraph, police are looking into detail surrounding witness statements from William's foster mother, who claimed he was wearing shoes on the day he disappeared to protect his feet from bindis and dog poo.

In the image, taken less than an hour before he went missing, William is barefoot.

It is one of a number of inconsistencies in the statements from that fateful day that has seen detectives return to the home in Kendall where William was last seen.

The masthead reported police are also investigating the idea there were no bindis or dog poo on the lawn.

That's along time for poop to stay in a garden, feb - September. Not likely with a house sale, those lawns looked good. Neighbours dogs - the properties don't have boundaries

WOW!!!!!!! You just solved one of my problems with this case.

Foster mother said she slipped and fell on a stick on the day William went missing injuring her hand, because her father had not been attending to the gardens since his death and it was covered in sticks and leaves, but you are RIGHT!!!! The lawns were in immaculate condition because of the house sale!

Thankyou!!!! Another inconsistency from the Foster Mother!

Nobody said that they only just decided to look in there. The DM said it is 'not clear' if it has been searched before (likely because they are not privy to the police brief).

In the early days, cameras were sent into every pipe and drain around there.

imo

The sale had already gone through at that point, so the house didn’t need to be dressed up IMO & also it does not take long for a lawn to become messy again, especially in spring time in Australia, plenty of cockatoos out & about trashing eucalyptus trees.
Also pay close attention to the grass area in the walkthrough video of the MFC, looks pretty consistent with what the FFC had reported IMO

In the Male Foster interview above - in the recreation video - he's parked in the carport and came through open area to the back small porch - So its 10.35. He says FFC says to him just 5 minutes hes gone and they are sitting on the porch. Both FGM and FFC - seems odd to be sitting, while you are telling him for the first time about the disappearance. Don't understand. MOO

All of us how have been here since the beginning can attest to the fact that the house had been sold, it was in the process through an agent and nearing settlement. In fact I remember seeing the ad very early on, this of course has been removed now so can't link.

I found this interesting, this video. I’ve tried to spot what was on the ground that the police officer stopped to check.
I also noted no mention of when he recalled police arrival in the events of the morning, and I’ve seen that the very first police to arrive on response to 000 call, said he first met FF in a room in the house, crying.

I’m not suggesting or targeting FF as a suspect
I am wondering how it all fits and why it was released to the public.

I always got the impression from that walkthrough that he is just talking about the FGM sitting on the back porch but because the name is beeped out, people assume he is talking about the FFC, cause IIRC, when he pulled up in the carport the FFC was already at his car window asking if WT was with him and telling him he's missing. IMO
