According to a relative, the first time Mr Spedding had mentioned the baffling case was when he saw William’s grandmother’s home on television news reports and said “hey, I think I’ve been there”.

I am assuming that if he said I think I have been to that house then he may have also said in fact I was supposed to be at that house today BUT ??????

IMO that was a totally GUILTY thing for him to say. A way of being "upfront" with his family about his connection to the house before the police came knocking, but being vague enough about it to not raise their suspicions.

Ummm … I don’t know quite how to put this, but the 3 year old girl had been sexually assaulted ‘in a number of ways’ (from your link). That could mean any number of things, but it makes me unsure if it matters much to this alleged pedophile if the victim was a boy or a girl.

(Sorry, I hate going into detail about an assault on a child. )

You'd have to be blind or brainwashed. I'd be in a comatosed state.
