Considering she's a POI, that's a strange turn of phrase. She isn't describing how she felt (one would feel frantic), she isn't really describing her actions (which would be something more like searched frantically), this articulate woman who could freely choose  any words, picked doing the frantic thing. Which sounds like acting. Playing the part of....

And in that, I think she told a truth. Accidentally.

JMO
and when asked her name, she just gives her first name, not her surname. these people are very odd, and so are their friends who were interviewed at the beginning on camera, one of whom smirks/smiles whilst the other blinks like it's gone out of fashion.

here in wales, uk:

From today physically punishing children will be illegal in Wales as Welsh Government continues to put children’s rights at the heart of its policies.

Wales joins more than 60 nations across the world to end the physical punishment of children. This landmark legislation removes the archaic 160-year-old legal defence and provides children the same protection from assault as adults.
Under the Children (Abolition of Defence of Reasonable Punishment) (Wales) Act 2020 all types of physical punishment, such as smacking, hitting, slapping and shaking, are illegal. The new law will apply to everybody in Wales, including visitors, from 21 March 2022.
Welcoming the Act coming into force at a Toddler Takeover event at Techniquest, The Deputy Minister for Social Services, Julie Morgan said:
Today is a historic moment for children and their rights in Wales as we make physically punishing children a thing of the past. I have campaigned to make physical punishment illegal for more than 20 years. I am thrilled that from today children finally have the same protection from assault as adults.
The law is now clear - easier for children, parents, professionals and the public to understand. Physical punishment is illegal in Wales and I can’t tell you how happy that makes me.
We want to protect children and their rights and this law will add to the fantastic work we are doing to make sure all children in Wales have the best start in life and to live the lives they want to live.
The First Minister for Wales, Mark Drakeford said:
I am delighted the physical punishment of children is now illegal in Wales. This is a historic achievement for children and their rights.
The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child makes it clear that children have the right to be protected from harm and from being hurt and this includes physical punishment. That right is now enshrined in Welsh law. No more grey areas. No more ‘defence of reasonable punishment.’ That is all in the past. There is no place for physical punishment in a modern Wales.

Today is the start of the 3 day hearing for the fosters assault and intimidation charges.

"The report refers to police facts from November 2021 which alleged MFC kicked the girl and caused her 'pain and bruising' and allegedly hit her with a wooden spoon.

MFC is alleged to have 'grabbed' the alleged victim's neck and physically restrained her following a 'time-out' period that lasted 44 minutes which concluded with the child telling the pair that she 'hated them'.

Police will allege the child yelled out in pain, with FFC then alleged to have forced her to remain seated for an extended period of time.

Police will allege FFC then kicked the girl causing her pain and bruising and forced her to sit down several times after she made attempts to stand up.

The report states police will allege the child pleaded with FFC to let her go but instead received a 'tirade of verbal abuse' that lasted up to 15 minutes.

William's foster father was also hit with one count of lying to the commission and intimidating a child, with the couple's matters listed for hearing in October and November.

The assault proceedings against the foster father have been listed for hearing on January 16 next year.

He will be joined by William's foster mother if the application to have her charges dealt with under the Mental Health Act is denied."

That article is from June 2022 - is there anything to say that it is actually going ahead today? I've not seen anything yet.

Court dates are rescheduled all the time. Nothing unusual about that. It doesn’t appear on the court list so possibly it’s been rescheduled for a later date IMO
I think suppression of the names of the fosters on most of their court cases has made it impossible to predict if cases are going ahead or are rescheduled. IMHO.

They are listed with their initials so it’s not hard to find them on the court list when we know what day. The case was originally on the list for today and is now not there

ADMIN NOTE:

Court records or other legal Information about the bio parents subsequent to William's disappearance, and that does not appear in any way related to William's disappearance while in foster care, is not being allowed. Mods can't sit in each and every thread to see what is being discussed, and if it has been discussed previously, we were not made aware of it via any Reports.

The bio parents are still considered victims and their lives or subsequent events involving them are not under the microscope in relation to William's disappearance. It serves no purpose but to attempt to disparage them when neither of them is suspected of having involvement in what happened to William.

Maybe he has a new role - he’s referred to in this Oct ‘22 article as ‘ The Unsolved Homicide Unit’s Detective Chief Inspector David Laidlaw ‘

It's possible Warsh - but - in his position he oversees multiple cases not just the one, and has for many years.

I was thinking he is possibly retiring as he's been in the force for more than 45 years and would, most likely, be at retirement age. See attached, his Attestation Date: 5 December 1977.

ETA: Unsolved Homicide is more than likely where Williams case sits these days. Shame isn't it.
