Eyes4Crime, so what is your opinion on the dosage in the cup and the effects whether it's Benedryl or Tylenol? I would love to hear what a pharmacist thinks about this. BTW love your frog kitty..makes me smile everytime I see it which is much needed right now!

Gosh, I'm going to have to go back and look at the pictures of the cup again.

Overdose on Tylenol would cause loss of appetite - I'm remembering the babysitter said Gabriel seemed hungry..right?
Benadryl (antihistamine) would cause drowsiness and dry up secretions in an 8mo baby, wonder how wet his diapers were? I'm remembering the description of the baby's running nose.

I'm not sure, will have to go back and review the pics. Whatever the medication is, I'm sure it was used to benefit mom. moo

did anyoone get screenshots? the comment about EJ wanting her to change Gabriel's name seems important to the investigation ...

or can someone at least forward that info to LE?

I hate to see Tammi and Jack as any less attached to Gabriel as a human being as I've thought, but I think I said a few threads ago how strange it seemed they never mentioned his name and that one of the reasons could be because they were afraid of blurting out the name he was given.

There was also a poster (MarylandMissing, IIRC) that had found some escort type ads that he/she thought the person looked like EJ. We didn't get a lot of details on that. I asked if the poster had submitted that as a tip, but never got a response.

I don't think that poster ever gave a link to anything, so unless he/she does, it's difficult to consider what it was. Just so everyone knows.

overdosage of Tylenol causes hepatic ( liver ) damage. If a child is chronically overdosed signs may take awhile to show up. Suicide attempts with 1 huge dose of Tylenol can result in death due to hepatotixicity. If caught in time there is an antidote- mucomyst. Giving overdoses of Benadryl results in death due to respiratory depression. There have been instances of death due to Benadryl OD because sitters/parents want to sedate/shut up the baby. I really think there was Benadryl in the cup because its thinner than tylenol and is often cherry/grape flavored. The med looked cherry to me. If this was Benadryl than Gabe could be dead.

Hi BeanE - Tricia has my license # and all that's needed for verification of my professional credentials as a Pharmacist - am I supposed to identify myself as a 'verified professional poster' in the comment? Never know quite how to explain who I am professionally. TIA

Thanks AZlawyer for sharing your time and knowledge with us. Always appreciated!

eyes4crime,

Thanks for the info you submitted on Benadryl. Did you see the pictures I posted in the last thread? And do you think Benadryl is a pretty possible match for what was in the medicine nurser?

Why oh why? I live near Dallas, and just went to Walmart. They don't even have Gabriel on their missing poster! I had to leave because of my little ones, but I going to call the manager and get his picture up. Anyone else in Texas wanna help with their local stores as well? I am planning to call all the businesses I can think of, or maybe even make flyers to take to them personally to post on their doors. Too bad I'm not in San Antonio, I would be all over that area of town where they were staying.

Hi neighbor :seeya:

Does anyone have a link for a ready to print poster?
I live near Dallas too and I'd be happy to get one up at my local Walmart and whatever local businesses will take them. I don't get out much or go far, but I can get my small area covered at least.

I agree. I would have submitted that as a tip myself, just in case. But I had nothing to submit. I hope that poster submitted it though.

I just went and looked at the pictures again. Poor Gabriel! Whatever is in that bottle, it's way too much. If Benadryl, maybe bubblegum or cherry flavored, it's so much that I shudder. Dosing for an 8mo baby comes ONLY from the doctor, it's in my pediatric dosage book, but only to help the doctor with questions. The dosing is tiny and for a baby would be 1/2ml or a little more.

Eliz said drug up the baby if he fusses - so my guess is that he was getting a drug that caused drowsiness and Benadryl (diphenhydramine) would be a good, yet very unfortunate call.

Too much Tylenol over time causes liver damage and the liver is necessary to metabolize all kinds of foods and medications. Either medication, given at inappropriate doses, would be detrimental, if not fatal to little Gabrial, especially the benadryl - it does indeed cause drowsiness, look at all the Tylenol PM's available for us adults.

Bolding and Red by me. I don't want to ask this but....would respiratory depression cause a baby to turn blue?

Thank you, my thoughts were the same. I was leaning toward the benadryl, since it makes them sleep and that's what EJ would have wanted. Also, when she talked to LM she said his "blue" body, which suggests to me that it was respiratory failure... If that is benadryl in there, undiluted, this is a very real possibility in my mind. Even more reason for her to snap a few last pictures of him to haunt LM.

Hello. I would love to pass out posters in my area! Not that I love it, but, you know...

Thanks so much for your response. :(
The pictures I posted were of a bottle of generic Kroger brand Benadryl in cherry flavor and IMO, the color and consistency looks the same (as much as you can tell in pictures) as what Gabe is holding.

Never wanted to be more wrong in my life!!!!!!!!
