I could start one! I have friends ALL OVER!

thyat would be awesome!, I no longer have a pic capable phone, my last one broke, and did not want to come out the pocket for a new one, LOL. I have received them a couple times before, about missing children, so it popped into my head last night in bed. I will send out a basic description one though, that can't hurt. maby if all else it can reach people who do not watch the news, and/or, have not even heard of this case:blowkiss:

One of our adopted children was "a legal risk" when he was placed with us and we were told by the State not an agency to keep the baby inside and out of public view until rights had been terminated. Freaked me out at first until I learned that the grandmother had threatened CPS that she was filing for custody and she would kidnap the baby if she had to.
Her DD BTW was of age and made an adoption plan on her own so I wasn't worried that it was birth mom wanting the baby back...it was her crazy mother.

my nephews' fathers' rights were terminated and their biomom gave them up willingly
my brother & sister-in-law were told the same thing b/c the father wasn't happy about it at all
and there were instances where a strange man was noticed loitering outside my bros house, which was exceptionally weird b/c they live in the country among a small cluster of houses and every neighbour knows each other
this man stood across the road and stared at the house until the police were called
so they had good reason to keep those boys safely inside and 'hidden' from view

thank you so much for all the links and info; will be greatly appreciated when I get home from work!

I am new to this site. I found it while I was trying to find out info on the case a few days ago. That being said...I live in San Antonio. This case has been on the news here at least in the evening although I watched it on Fox last nite and it was just a quick little report. I stay at home with my 3 yr old so I don't get out much, but when I was at Walmart the other day I did not see any missing signs or anything on the doors etc. I do believe they need to really make a huge effort here in SA to get photos out with info etc for those people who do not pay attention to the news. I had my eyes peeled at Walmart. With regard to Tammi Smith...I know I have seen comments on here about her but...there is something absolutley not right about her or her husband. I agreed with Mark Klaas the other nite. Why do they constantly have their face in the media? Also she says the FBI have not made contact with her but I don't believe that for one minute. LE knows something about these people. I think Gabriel is alive somewhere, and I think San Antonio plays a big part. I think it was a halfway point. I think Tammi Smith had a plan and it went awry when the father asserted his custodial rights. Just Sayin...

FB NG states there was a housekeeper eyewitness of a "Hispanic woman" watching the baby at the hotel.

Does anyone have a live link for the presser? I know it's early, I just want to be prepared.

I have 6 children in all. I gave up 3 for adoption when I was 19 yrs. I do not understand how a (birth)parent would want to hurt there children more! I miss my children so much! But I know in my heart that they are with a family that wanted these children so bad, that they will take the best of care of them! That maby just possibly love them more then I did(if thats possible!)

even if their rights were terminated, I would think they would want what was best, to let their children move on, and adjust, to live a better life. But I suppose their are very selfish people who only care about their feelings, and not the childrens. Shame on them!

I am a SAHM also, but when I go anywhere, I have my eyes peeled as well. Good to know we have some san antonioians with their eyes peeled! I thak you for Baby Gabe!

Tammi, Jack Smith Still Persons of Interest In Gabriel Johnson Disapearance
POSTED: 10:37 pm MST January 11, 2010

Whether Johnson researched Tammi and Jack Smith as potential adoptive parents for her son Gabriel is unclear, but knowing their histories, she probably couldn't have picked a better couple in which to spin her tale of woe.

Tammi Smith said her former husband abused her and after several years of fighting, she lost custody of her three daughters. Jack Smith also put up a fight for custody of his granddaughter, Hannah, from her biological father.

Even when they knew Johnson was on the run, they put her in contact with Janet Morris, an adoption specialist in Nashville, Tenn.

The FBI searched her house as part of the investigation into Gabriel's disappearance.

According to court documents, Morris was once challenged for allegedly stripping a father of his parental rights without properly notifying him -- exactly what the biological father of Tammi and Jack Smith's adopted daughter, Hannah, says the couple did to him.

The results of Tammi and Jack Smith's polygraph tests were inconclusive.

Baby Gabriel's Mom Not Talking
Investigators: Elizabeth Johnson Refuses To Say If Gabriel Is Alive
POSTED: 6:09 am MST January 10, 2010
UPDATED: 5:47 pm MST January 11, 2010
<snipped>
As of Monday, it had been nearly two days since Elizabeth Johnson was booked at the Fourth Avenue Maricopa County jail, and she still wasn't telling anyone where her son might be, she wouldn't even confirm that he's still alive.

Tempe Police Department Commander Kim Hale said, "There's three separate things that can happen. You can be deceptive, inconclusive or you can be truthful. At this time, it was scored by two different polygraph examiners and both rated it close to the same as inconclusive."

Jack Smith interpreted that question mark a little bit differently. Smith said, "Because it's not a truth detector, it's a lie detector. I did not lie, and so that's why it came back inconclusive."

He and his wife, Tammi Smith, are still persons of interest in Gabriel's disappearance. Investigators said the couple has been cooperative, but it's possible they know more than they're letting on.

A kidnapper or a desperate mom? It all depends on who you ask. The Smith family was hoping to adopt 8-month-old Gabrielle and are optimistic his mom was just doing what she thought best for the boy.
Kristine Harrington spoke with the Smith family about the situation and the missing boy.

Seems to me that LE has turned the case over to Tammi and her media friends.

It was a high chair that was found in the hotel room.

At the end of NG last night TPS said that she had urged EJ to have her lawyer give a press conference and EJ agreed.

BBM. Isn't that so presumptuous of TPS? Like EJ's lawyer needs to be told by her that he should give a press conference? This story continues to be about her and only her.

As more and more info comes out I am convinced that the intent was always to place Gabe with the Smiths. And I believe someone is holding him with the intent that he wind up with the Smiths if this were to blow over. You don't go and do all that Tammi has done (the GPS she gave EJ, taking her to file the paperwork, etc) with the understanding that Gabriel is going to wind up with some other family. No way. Just like Jack said in one of those first interviews on NG....they are going to wait until Gabe's features change so they can "filter him back into the system." The system being their house.

Just bringing this over from the other thread because...well it's a good post!! LOL. Exactly Taminator.

I can't believe even Tammi used the word 'retarded' here - esp on national TV. I am not so PC, but I think it is poor taste (or more) to do that in a public interview. It is in especially poor taste given Tammi was going to adopt a Down's Syndrom child, isn't it? Maybe I just despise this woman too much.

I agree. That's why I believe this woman is up to her eyeballs in this mess. For someone who was so into getting Gabriel and getting "H" a baby brother for Christmas, she sure doesn't seem too emotional about it. If it were me and I thought I was helping EJ and getting the baby....I would be crushed, absolutely crushed that it was all a farce. I would be absolutely devastated that she strung me along this whole time, making me believe that Logan was willing to give up the baby (and in her words, he was going back and forth on the idea--yet, she apparently only took EJ's word for it). After the initial devastation, I would be angry.

Yet, the Smiths show absolutely NO emotion where this child is concerned. Not in their voices, not in their body language, and not in their actions. They act like they lost a phone number. Sorry to rant on and on and on.

I thought that earlier myself, Time, but thought perhaps I was being too sensitive. It's really sad to me that apparently they dropped their plans to adopt the Down's baby because of Gabriel. I hope that baby is in a wonderful home.

I'm glad that I am not the only one that was bothered by her saying that. I thought it sounded juvenile, as well...
