These items taken out of the Celis' car that doesn't run were taken into evidence by LE - the search warrant for the Celis' property had to be renewed/refreshed.

Right. I remember that. I was sort of talking about the silliness the other night on JVM and NG as LE was taking things out of their car and carrying it in, etc.

Hi, I am new to the forum. I hope I don't make any mistakes. I have lurked for a long time. I wanted to ask if anyone wondered if the pillows and blankets removed from the car could possibly be from Isa's room? Usually when a child is suspected of abduction from their room their bedding is removed for forensics. I don't remember seeing them carrying out anything that looked like bedding. Just wondering.

:welcome4:

I am not sure, but good point. Odd it would be in the car though unless it was trying to be hidden - I would have thought if her bedding would have been missing that that would have been mentioned with the screen pulled off and blinds moved to the side.

Just my opinion - no. They were taken under a second warrant according to another member.

I don't think LE would ever declare someone deceased based only on a hit of a dog at a scene. They may think it, they may believe it, they may even talk about it among themselves as they review the case at headquarters, but publicly make such a statement? No way. They would need and want more information before declaring someone to be deceased.

They might instead use phrases like, "in grave danger," or "at risk," which we've seen LE use in other cases.

That in no way diminishes the 'hit' by one of the dogs at the Celis home. I personally think the hit of a spot in the house was by the cadaver dog. A bloodhound would be following a scent trail, not a single spot.

This reminds me of the Lisa Irwin situation, as well as the Madeline McCann case. Dogs hit in both of those cases and police have not declared either of those two dead (though they obviously suspect they are).

Until LE says something more definitive, which they likely won't until an arrest, I'm sticking with the one thing I know I can count on. The dogs & their training & their super-sensitive noses! If a well-trained dog alerted, it's for a reason.

LE has never discussed the conditions of Isabel's bedroom after she went missing. If bedclothes were pulled off the bed, anything knocked over etc. Any signs of a struggle...MOO

I am hoping that there is some touch DNA pulled from her bedding etc. But, like the possible prints on the window screen, window frame and blinds, I'm wondering if : either there are no unidentifiable prints, or there are unidentifiable prints, but the prints are just not in any database. The prints of ,say, a minor, would likely not be in any database.

I still feel that the guy in the video, who was hiding behind that wall when those people walked by, is important to this case. It could well have been someone who lives close to Isabel, and who likes to go out "night crawling ". Video wasn't shown as a "mistake" . MOO

Also, in the parents interview on Friday, they said they would not speak about the condition of Isabel's room - maybe LE asked them not to.

Ill pop back in a bit when have more time.. just wanted to welcome 4csjkto our group and discussion...

What has LE told us about the abduction of Isa, anyway?

I wasn't implying the parents were guilty. I don't think that at all. Just thought maybe the bedding was stashed in the car in a hurry. That as they were going through their evidence bags they realized that they did not have bedding. I have no theory on why it would be in the car unless it was put there by someone they knew and hid it in a hurry. The bedding in the car is just puzzling to me. I have never heard of storing bedding in a dead car. Blankets maybe in a car to go to sporting events, but pillows?? and in a car that isn't running? Just odd.

:seeya: welcome, and thanks for joining us!

I thought that maybe pillows could've been used at sporting events as well, eg., for tournaments when you have a lot of down time while other teams play. Or maybe they were taken to a relative's house or slumber party. I dunno. I always had to take my pillow along for overnite things as a kid because the unfamiliar smell of borrowed pillows bothered me a lot, for some reason.

I'm sorry for your loss Isabelle. :( I speak of people in the past tense all the time...yet I just got off the phone with them or spoke to them in person minutes or hours ago. I'm better at math.

I think people are taking this past tense stuff to a whole new level and way too far. They are making it a blanket statement that if anyone uses it they are guilty. That is not the way the analysis was meant to be interpreted. It is used in certain circumstances and in certain time periods, especially the first few hours....not weeks and months later.

I thought the neighbor that "reported" hearing voices, also stated that she looked over the fence into Isa's room. Did she ever state if the bed covers were missing or anything? I seem to remember reading that she looked into the room but did not want to be "nosy", and thought the room looked somewhat normal. I am wondering if she would have noticed if a comforter was missing or a blanket that might have been used to get Isa out of the room un-noticed. I just can't wrap my mind around all the cameras and not one image? not one?

Could be some interesting images gathered.LE is just not saying much of anything at this time...MOO

Speaking of that video, they said they made a mistake and that it was actually a video from the Saturday night after Isa went missing. Many have said that the whole street was closed off. Was this particular area where the video recorded closed off as well?

The way I am thinking is perhaps that guy who was night crawling might have been spying on what LE were doing and was watching the house.

The one thing that just keeps buggin me in Sergio's interview is when he said in a soft voice, "No, daddy, I'm tired" and walked on by. You get the impression she just walked past him into oblivion...and he did nothinng.

I wish I could get a visual on that but I can't. Where did she go? What did she do? Walked by what? He seems to just give us bits but not create an entire picture. He had enough time to do it but chose not to. I find him odd with a strange linguistic style. I don't feel this has to do with Hispanic culture either. I don't even know if Becky is Hispanic. Her maiden name certainly wasn't. Sergio appears to be very well integrated in the american culture...imo. His response to questions is vague and impressionistic...filled with adverbs.

I took it to mean that she walked on by him and went on into her room to go to bed.

I took it to me that she walked on by him and went on into her room to go to bed.

I guess that is what most people will think, but Sergio didn't tell us that. No one has said who put her to bed. Are you saying that those two just sat there and let her wonder off to go to her bedroom and tuck herself in? Remember, all they keep telling us is how loving and how much they hold their kids, and how they hug their kids and tell them they love them ad nauseum.

....yet, she just walks by and tucks herself into bed?

His response was to what was Isa doing the last time you saw her?...or something to that effect.

If I could figure out how to reply on websleuths, I'd post the photo of my outside thermometer that I sent to my mother in another state. It was 99 that day at my house, which is about 15 minute away.
