This is horrible! that poor girl and her siblings. If they knew and did not tell police he had her, I just do not understand their mindset.

but we dont know they didn't tell le. We only have a snipped from the girl. It could have ended with "and mom told police and then they found her?

Right, was in Walmart all muddy, stole clothes to go undetected. Makes me wonder how long drug rage lasts if he thought enough to change his clothes after the murder & burial.
Drug-induced "rage" (aggressive behavior) is really complicated to discuss, whether we're looking at recreational or therapeutic use of amphetamine; recreational use of a substituted amphetamine such as methamphetamine; amphetamine psychosis caused by chronic usage or exposure to high doses of these substances; or withdrawal syndrome. Genetics and usage history are pretty big factors, so it's not really possible at this time to speak in an informed way about what Rector may have been feeling or experiencing when he committed this crime.

However, I think it is safe to say that he doesn't seem to have exhibited the lack of concentration, nor the impairment of goal-directed thinking, that we would expect to see with an amphetamine user under the influence of a high dosage or one experiencing stimulant psychosis; to wit, he was able to either lead Bella (or transport her without detection) to a disposal site some distance from her home, and there make at least some attempt at concealing/burying her body. Upon realizing his clothing was likely to reveal him, he was further able to get himself to the Walmart (admittedly not very far away) and procure a change of clothing/shoes. Obviously he foolishly decided to shoplift those items and was caught, but we don't know if that's because of intoxication or because he's just not very bright (which seems obvious) - or both.

I'm not specifically aiming this comment at Bella's Mom, as we don't know all the facts surrounding her death yet.

But how many more children will die because Mommy and/or Daddy wasn't paying attention, instead putting her/his own needs in front of their own children? The most vulnerable segment of our population are being sold, abused, killed and discarded. What's the cause, what's the solution, what can we do to prevent this going forward?

Personally, I would like to see these parents charged with something. And I'm not talking County jail time. I'm tired of people saying "the loss of their child is punishment enough". No, no it's really not!!

Oh I so agree with this!

I am fed up of hearing of accidents, injuries, missing children and sadly murdered children, when a lot of the time it could have been prevented!
I'm not talking about tragic accidents, I mean when the parent/carer, isn't doing there job.
How many young children have been abducted while out playing alone? How many mothers have brought men they hardly know into their children's lives? How many families are putting drugs first?

I too would like to see more arrests where it's clear this could have been prevented. Although, ideally, I'd like to see more done before it gets to the stage of innocent children getting hurt or murdered.

Devastating that her sister had to bear witness to this. I pray she gets counselling. Much to much burden for a little girl to carry.

Based on all I've seen on FB, I suspect her and Bella witnessed and heard a LOT of garbage no child should ever see or hear.

The timeline's confusing too. IIRC, msm said she was last seen in bed at 11:30 pm and (her mom?) noticed her missing at 1:30 am. So that means she called police at 1:30 am. If that's the case and the 10-year-old's information is correct, then... WTH went on during those two hours?

What have I missed? TIA.

The article in the AZCentral says that:

The 10-year-old, whose name is redacted throughout the report, told investigators that she and Isabella were at their mother's home playing hide-and-seek with Rector on Monday. The older girl said she went to the restroom at some point and when she came out, Rector and Isabella were gone, according to court records.

The girls' mother returned home with friends and contacted police early Tuesday morning after she could not find Isabella, according to court documents.

That would mean that he was home alone with the two girls and he and Bella disappeared while she was in the bathroom. Mom originally stated that Bella was last seen in bed at 11:30 and was missing by 1:30 AM.

And, speaking of stupid criminals, he goes to Walmart and shoplifts new clothes and ditches the "murder outfit" at the store. The shoes recovered from Walmart matched footprints by the gravesite. They were very distinctive due to being duct-taped around the sole.

This is getting hinkier by the moment.

I hope this opens the eyes of the community to the drug issue going on. My prayer is for those addicts to realize how many lives they are affecting, and seek help. If there truly was a war on drugs, the jail could be full just by looking at the fb pages. Saddens me. Saddens me to see job section on fb listed as 'self employeed' or 'none ya business', etc. Reality is there is money in drug handling. More money for less labor. HOWEVER is it worth it?? Is a life in and out of jail, no regard for yourself, your family, your kids worth a life of illegal activity...always wondering when the next arrest is coming. When you'll piss someone off, and you or your family will pay the price. When knowing there's no recourse to report someone stealing from you, not paying their drug bill, or selling you bad drugs to resell, what's the end goal?

I hope JR is enjoying detox right now.

I hope there are more charges and arrests. Bella deserves that much.

And can someone explain to my why a 10yr old has a facebook??? And OPEN one at that!! I do have nephews and nieces that have accounts, but only family is on their pages, and they are private!! Even then I don't agree with it...but oh well.

As an Arizonan out here who also works in counseling (but in the Phx area). I am curious to see what happens with CPS. This has been blowing up my feed. I am just hoping and praying that the girls siblings are getting the help they need.

This is so tragic.

Im just glad the older sister was not killed as well. It sounds like she was in just as much danger as the other one.

Trusting this creep to be alone in the house with those kids is beyond comprehension. I'm usually not a fan of CPS taking kids away but GO GET WHOEVER IS LEFT.

And yea, glad this idiot decided to shop lift to cover his tracks. Sheeesh.

Thanks button simply was not enough.. Sad as it is, times change, and parents have to evolve accordingly.. In the dark ages, when I was little, things were different. My boys are my number 1 priority and I have not left them with anyone other than their father or my husband.. jmo :-)

RIP, beautiful sweet girl. This is certainly not what you deserved in life. My heart grieves for these sweet precious children that basically get thrown away by the ones that should love them the most and protect them with their very souls..for what?...a drug? Makes me physically and mentally sick. Hugs everyone!

I suspect he has a juvenile criminal history as well. Perhaps a mental deficit, but I do think he knows right from wrong, so not insane.

Depending on the extent of the drug usage, and what drugs were used that night, maybe that affected his thinking or lack of.

I tried finding an article today, but never did find it. It was talking about sex while on meth, and how straight men were begging other men for sex, and women reporting they would go with anyone as the sex was so intense. I don't know if that applies here or not, because we're talking a CHILD, and not an adult wanting sex with another adult. I'm going to try to remember to keep looking for it.

I've honestly never been around anyone that used drugs. I know of some that used or are using weed, but I don't hang with them. Didn't even know until a year ago that there were different strains, or whatever, and some give a body high, some a head high, etc. I don't think it's the same weed I remember of from my teen years. And truthfully, I've only tried it twice. Once as a teen, and it did nothing for me. The last time as an adult, trying to end some pain. I remember laughing, and couldn't stop laughing, and then passing out. No idea what strain it was or nothing else, but realized that if two drags could do that, then not for me. I did have a dear friend who died from multiple things, but the main cause was drug overdose, and damage to organs from drug use. She started with prescription pain drugs, then weed, then I have no idea, but it must have been some heavy stuff, because last time I saw her before her death, she was skin and bones, pasty/greyish looking skin, lost all her teeth, etc. She wasn't a bad person at all. BUT her addiction caused behaviors I couldn't have around me. A retired vet, with so many medals, and a heart of gold BEFORE the addiction. She became a thief, a liar, and was arrested for forging prescriptions. It was sad. It broke my heart because i tried getting her help, and in the end, told her it was get help or the drugs. I couldn't help her.

Wow! I am not usually a frightened type of person... but his mug shot scares me.

I was just thinking, in the beginning, wasn't it reported last seen around 11:30 when Mom tucked her into bed? Was that media's reporting, or what was really told? Bella wasn't reported missing until 1:30, so was that when Mom came home? Or was there bargaining, pleading with JR, or attempting to locate JR, or clean up the place before police was called? Wonder when we'll hear more? Why 2hrs before police were notified? What time did LE say they found JR walking?

I guess I'm just wondering if Bella could have been saved? Or was she deceased by the time Mom knew she was gone? :tantrum:

My prayers for her sister. Gosh I wish there was something I could do to ease her pain...but I know the only thing I can offer is my prayers. Sweet precious children.

What a lucky break for LE!!!

Wow! I am not usually a frightened type of person... but his mug shot scares me.

As a 35 year old woman, he scares me too. I hate to even think that is what Bella saw last in life. I have had drug addicted family members and he reminds me of them and thats scary enough for me. Its a catch 22 trying to figure these people out because I want to know what goes on in their heads but at the same time, I have no interest in witnessing such evil. I just wish they all came with some kind of warning so that we know to stay far far away. Then again, he kind of did. A rap sheet a mile long and very obvious drug use, yet Bella and her sister and god only knows who else were allowed around him and he was welcomed in their home by the very people who should have protected them. SMH

No R*** charge. That's encouraging although kind of strange, right? What's the motive to murder a child without abusing them first ?

I think there are a lot of people who 'accidentally' kill kids with an anger outburst who would cover it up but not rape them also. Not saying that is the case here. But if he was in charge of her while the stepdad went out and grandma was asleep maybe he lost his temper if she got up to use the bathroom or something.

Yes! I hope so too. Also, JJR appears to have children of his own. I hope their welfare is also checked out by CPS.
