Ooh, you're right, although it doesn't specifically say meth - but what else would it be? I vaguely remember something about repackaging some drug to sell but I don't know if that would be considered manufacturing.

So I guess LE didn't have enough evidence for that charge. Maybe that's why the house is for sale as is and not stripped of carpets, etc. Eww.

Repackaging sounds like it would be related to prescription drugs (because the pills would be removed from the original prescription container in order to sell them). Just guessing tho.

Just a guess. This home will be bought for way less than the asking price. Probably by someone who buys cheap houses "as is". I've heard that some of these properties go on the market for neighborhood area top prices and when they can't sell, another party usually in the house flipping business scoops them up. I'm behind, so I need to see if it's a foreclosure or short-sale.

Looks like they are asking $49,000

$49,000 sounds like a dream price. I wonder about any equity? Doesn't really matter because you can't put a price on the $ equity of a child! Bella was "worth" so much more than the skanky house.

smoking meth upstairs in granny's bedroom may have left some nastiness (MOO) that was MSM comments made by the accused - contained in these threads somewhere

Seeing how small the inside of the house puts a few facts about the crime and timeline in a different light.

The parents were supposedly "searching" the house for over two hours... The older daughter stated they were playing hide and seek in the house and backyard (which is also tiny) but within a few minutes of being in the bathroom couldn't find them anywhere... How could the MIL sleep through a frantic search of the house... How could all those people live in that small place - The girls were sharing that tiny living room with the accused... How could one or both of them NOT be at risk for sexual assault? TG says she didn't see JR before she left for 'Walmart' - how could she not?

Same questions we have always had but even more perplexing seeing the inside of the house.

Folster’s attorney asked to continue Thursday’s hearing because Deputy Yavapai County Attorney Kevin Schiff gave Folster a second plea offer and Folster wanted time to consider the new offer.
...
Superior Court Commissioner Billy Sipe Jr. postponed the hearing, which normally sets a trial date, to Feb. 12.

http://www.mohavedailynews.com/news...cle_54071652-9d54-11e4-afce-033fa2014e27.html

The previous plea deal was that Folster would plead guilty to five counts of sale of dangerous drugs, misconduct with a weapon and conspiracy to sell dangerous drugs. Prison time would have been from 10 to 93 years.

No info on the new plea deal yet.

Bella would have turned 9 yesterday. She should have been having a party and eating cake, and dressing up and being spoiled :tantrum:

RIP precious

I'm sure I must have seen it at some point while following the case early on, but it just hit me that Bella and my 16 yr old share the same birthday. :(

The Rock ’n the Park for Bella celebration and fundraiser honored the life of Isabella “Bella” Grogan-Cannella, the 8-year-old Bullhead City girl who was murdered in September. “We’re doing this as a celebration of Bella’s birthday,” said event organizer Rose Fox.
...
“Today is wonderful,” said Bella’s grandmother Sue Winchester. “Rose and everyone has been so great to come down here. Every time we come into town, we come to the rock garden. We might just have a couple of minutes to be here, but it’s so good for the girls, because it is part of their healing and so is this event. For all of us, it is a part of our healing.”

Gran is making bigger plans:

''Winchester is the guardian of Bella’s sisters, her two brothers and one of her cousins and has decided to build a home in Valle to house them and help other foster children as well.

“I’m getting my foster care license and it’s a place where we can make sure the kids have positive experiences,” said Winchester. “I’ve already had the county looking at the property and I’ll be making the purchase in the next month — then we’re hoping to break ground.

“We talked about becoming a 501(c)(3) but it is also going to be a family home. It’ll be respite care — in our area, that’s what is needed.”

“One of the goals for today’s event was to raise money for maintenance costs of the rock garden,” said Fox. “Any money we raise beyond that need will go to Sue for help with Bella’s Place.”

there were plea offers extended to his two other defendants as well

"Deputy Yavapai County Attorney Kevin Schiff told the judge he has not discussed any plea offers to Folster’s two codefendants even though plea offers have been extended. Schiff also said additional charges against Folster — including child abuse — could possibly still be on the table".

"In November, Mohave County prosecutors declined to file child abuse or endangerment charges against Folster or Grogan-Cannella’s mother, Tania Ann Grogan, in connection with Grogan-Cannella’s murder. Mohave County transferred the drug case to Yavapai County since Grogan and Folster are considered victims in Grogan-Cannella’s murder"

Thank you for this newone.

So, according to your link/quote, Mohave County has yet to file ANY charges against TG or RF. Now I am confused a bit again, I'll admit it.

I guess I need to look at the maps from back at the beginning, and try to recall how this all unfolded.

Which county is prosecuting JR? It's Mohave, right? Were the drug charges also occurring in the same house in which Bella lived out her final months?

Or, was it somewhere else (presumably in Yavapai County)? If so, then there's a strong possibility that this same behavior was still occurring right up until mathematical night Bella was murdered! That's pretty clear! So why not file those charges? The neighbors were well aware of the traffic, and how Bella was bring neglected!

Am I missing something here?

Someone please chime in! I barely slept last night, so be gentle :blushing:

the issue I guess stems from conflict with murder .... if TG is witness in murder trial she has to deal with Mohave staff which would be 'conflict' if same office has to prosecute on drug charges am guessing

it would be working at cross purposes otherwise -- murder occurred in Bullhead City which is Mohave County

Chief Legal Defender Ron Gilleo has been appointed as a second counsel for Rector’s case.
...
As early as 2004 or 2005, the public defender’s office represented Grogan-Cannella’s mother, Tania Grogan, and the girl’s stepfather, Ralph Pat Leroy Folster III, for various offenses. Moore and most of the defense attorneys were not there at the time but Moore wanted to eliminate any appearance of a conflict.
...
Deputy Mohave County Attorney Greg McPhillips said he plans to call Grogan and Folster as witnesses at Rector’s trial.

http://www.mohavedailynews.com/news...cle_286d9718-a78c-11e4-a941-4bce15f3be10.html

McPhillips has until February 18 to present evidence of aggravating factors. Next status hearing is March 25. McPhillips also has forwarded about 1100 pages and 50 CD's of evidence to Rector's attorney! Wow!

KINGMAN — The prosecutor in the case of a Bullhead City man charged with murdering an 8-year-old girl has disclosed evidence before the deadline.
...
Disclosure by the state can mean potential witnesses, including experts to be called to testify at Rector’s trial, photographs or other documents, law enforcement reports, the defendant’s statements to police and prior felony convictions. The defense attorney must also disclose similar evidence.

Nothing particularily new but at least the dates remain unchanged. Next hearing March 25. Pre-Trial hearing August 23, 2016 and trial will begin October 17, 2016. Hopefully. It's gonna be hard waiting a year and a half. :(
