The Flagstaff Police Department held a joint press conference on Friday afternoon to talk about the resolution of the case of Kelly Paduchowski, a Flagstaff woman who was reported missing by her husband on Sunday. Police later apprehended her husband and he eventually pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in exchange for information about the case.

During the course of the search, investigators interviewed family members, witnesses and processed evidence resulting in Daniel’s arrest for aggravated assault and possession of dangerous drugs. Reports indicate neighbors heard an argument between Daniel and Kelly. They then saw Kelly lying face-down, motionless with Daniel on top of her. Police say during that time, no one called 9-1-1. Flagstaff Police say the community played a vital role in the search for Kelly and thanked everyone who helped try to find her.
