Lori's niece is Melani and the friend Melanie. So far I don't see a basis for the conspiracy charges. There's no proof that they knew that murders would occur. That said, Melani likely gave Brandon's location to Alex. It would probably take a lot more circumstantial evidence to convict her in his case. Chad repeatedly declared two husbands zombies and he's likely not answering for it either.

I believe there is a sample of her public school work on the interwebs from around early HS age. I actually don't think she was home schooled at all. She was public schooled with many absences for illness (possibly induced by her mother) and interruptions for moving. Then, at a point when she was old enough to do so, she prepared for and took the GED exam.
