Speaking of smear campaigns, I would absolutely swear that I have heard it’s nigh impossible for a child of pre-pubertal years a la poor Sanaa, to manifest with schizophrenia. doesn’t it generally show up in early 20s?

It's not impossible; it's VERY, VERY, VERY unlikely. It would be documented in medical books in a case like this.

Abuse and PTSD cause symptoms that are often misdiagnosed as a psychotic disorder.
