DNA Solves
DNA Solves
DNA Solves
...and a total stranger from what I can tell.

I'm not certain that they really collected all that much from what I can tell. I think many of the lurkers on the FB page talk a big game but that's about it. Looks like they only came up with about $500 from what I can gather.

As much as my heart goes out to this poor child, I can't bring myself to donate although I could make a significant donation. Sometimes I feel bad about that, but I've been watching that page since day one and it all just doesn't sit right with me.

ITA. If in doubt of making private donations to the family or other private businesses... may I suggest making a donation to Yavapai's SAR? Most SAR's nationwide are nonprofit and/or volunteer, and Yavapai is pretty drained now. You could even earmark it for a certain type of SAR mission, such as active cases or children, etc. And it would be tax deductible!

Embarrassed that I had to google ITA. I feel so old and I've only been 35 for 7 years.

I personally think that she may have some info that maybe we don't have that leads her to believe it is Sylar for sure. I agree with what you are saying though MsF. As a parent I think I would be in total denial until someone for sure said it was my child. Whatever the case is it more than likely is Sylar but I totally get what you are saying too.

"We believe the DNA will show it is Sylar."

Do you honestly believe that law enforcement has told Charity anything more than that??

I don't believe for a second they are giving her confidential or additional information. After her claims of "knowing what happened that night," she did not know about the search warrants until after WE did! Charity had to find out about the abuse the night Sylar disappeared, from the media. She did not know about THAT from her inside information.

If LE does not think highly enough of her to call her and say "These search warrants are being released, this is what is in them, we didn't want you to hear it from a reporter." Then I VERY highly doubt she knows anything more than we do, probably less.

Quite honestly, I wouldn't be too surprised if she gets the DNA confirmation through the media as well. The search warrants were far more upsetting in my opinion anyway. :twocents:

I suspect dna results are 'in' but toxicology stuff takes longer....(MOO)...

Whoops, hope that wasn't construed as solicting funds? It was purely a suggestion as an alternative to donations based on Yavapai County's extreme search effort for Sylar and Emmett.
If it is, I'll happily remove it.
TIA.

Well it is a long weekend ahead of us and unless there's a big breaking story this afternoon I don't think we are going to hear anything further for some time on this.

a holiday little Sylar won't be able to celebrate thanks to the people who supposedly wanted him so bad...meanwhile they get to enjoy their long weekend...:waitasec: hey, wait a minute...they get to enjoy weekends every day because they don't work...everyday is a party to them and unfortunately the law is allowing it..people get locked up for a lot less than these two! why the babying when it comes to these two? I doubt they are strangers to the jail house...we have seen the ugly mug shots to prove that..a past criminal history..a missing (most likely dead) little boy, witnesses to their abuse, admitting to smoking pot..etc etc etc...and yet..they are free!!!!!:banghead:

I guess I am feeling increasingly frustrated with the news blackout on this story. Considering all repulsive and too personal twists and turns in the Hormon case (media loved to report on all that dirty laundry MFH sexting etc) we can't even find out the outcome of the latest custody issue re CP and her former hubby re the kids. We heard that she was going to court yet again and there was no followup whatsoever.

Either the LE has a tighter clamp on the media in this state as compared to Oregon or is there less interest in justice being served?

I can't help but think Kyron has gotten more attention because he's from a upper-middle class family from a nice neighborhood. I know it's going to sound callus, but if Sylar came from a different background with average middle-class parents, there may be more media attention.

I am sorry because I apparently unwittingly violated the board rules (and on my very first post after months of lurking, no less).

I had not intended the post as a solicitation. I posted the information, I thought as a contribution to the conversation of how suspect some of the fundraising seems to be.

IMO, this poor baby has been nothing but a pawn in life and in death.

I'm sorry to say, but I agree with you. This little boy's death seems to be having as little importantance as his life had, to some of those who were charged with caring for him. I hope I am wrong and that charges are pending, even as we are all waiting. I do believe that LE fully wishes and intends to prosecute for this child's death, but I don't think it is a national story.

Request for moderators....

It's been bugging me, every time I see one of Sylar's threads and it may just be me. (Bolding mine.)

Sylar Newton, 2, Rimrock/Beaver Creek Campgrd, 25 July 2010 - Camping w/family

Could we possibly change that to...

Sylar Newton, 2, Rimrock/Beaver Creek Campgrd, 25 July 2010 - Camping

OR even just simply

Sylar Newton, 2, Rimrock/Beaver Creek Campground, 25 July 2010

Just the location implies camping anyway...Other kids have just been the location of the campground or state park or wherever.

Sylar was not camping with his family when he went missing.

It's just a detail that has really been bugging me.

End of literal, logical, detail oriented moment. Carry on.

I agree with you. I've had the same reaction upon seeing the title. Done.

Yay...I only have to cringe one time instead of two when I see the title to his thread. :woohoo:

Thank you very much.

Hoping that if there are any campers at Beaver Creek Campground this weekend who find something odd they let LE know about it ASAP

I don't know what there would be left to find.... but I guess anything is possible....and I agree. I hope they would let LE know immediately.

I think that their have been campers there since they reopened it. I remember hearing when it opened there were campers already filling it up. Somehow I would have a problem staying there, I know its not the beautiful campgrounds fault, but would have nothing but dampened time camping knowing the sadness of little Sylar probably ended there. Just upsets me so much. The silence is killing me and I hope they are actually doing something and not putting this on the back burner.
