DNA Solves
DNA Solves
DNA Solves
I believe what newone meant was that it is a holiday weekend. So there is more likely to be more campers there now. Even though there has been some there in the last month.

Though I could be wrong and there could be something out there to find that I am unaware of too.

The silence is deafening! I can't believe as emotional as the detective was announcing it was a criminal investigation that they aren't moving quicker on this. I can think of many cases where they moved quicker without any more evidence sometimes less! :banghead:
:snail: I am not sure what the hold up is regarding the positive ID.
 but I know I am pretty sick of the wait and the thought of the two "people":loser: sitting around doing whatever they want to do while they let that little boy die and then left him out there for the creatures to pick apart...of how I wish I could do that to them!:furious: ok...I feel better now!!

Bumping back to top, this is not allowed to go to next page....

Silence is wonderful in most situations, but no in this one.....
Hope this is the week something happens, Any thing happens.....
I really am thinking this is ridiculous...

I agree Portabella.

I'm very anxious about Sylar and check everyday for news.

OT: In my community we have a saying "No news is the best news you can get" It has to do with being a military wife and having a Husband deployed. Silence is Golden then for us.

But not this...this is driving me nutso!

Prayers for Sylar that he will have justice.

bumpity bump!

It is so frustrating to know they had enough evidence to quickly rule it a criminal investigation without a body and then when a ordinary citizen goes and locates the body for them...nothing! they can't even positive ID the little fellow in a timely manner! what would witholding the positive ID serve? I try to think of reasons why they won't release the info but can think of none. I am positive they know by now!! I can say with almost 100% certainty they know by now! I have researched it and it usually takes a few days to maybe a week tops. There is some reason they aren't saying but I can't not understand why! Unless it isn't him but then that wouldn't make sense because I am sure that would be all over the news that some other unfortunate little boy was thrown away. Come on Mr. Policeman get your foot out your arse and get busy getting justice for Sylar! Meanwhile those two screwups are doing whatever they want...

When our young granddaughter died, we contacted a local funeral home and they were not willing to make any adjustment on prices for her parents who had no money to pay for the funeral. We contacted a second local funeral home and they DONATED transportation to the funeral home, embalming, the casket, the service, guest book and thank you cards, newspaper notice, transportation to the cemetery and a second small service there, and transportation home for the family. All free of charge. All we had to pay for was the flowers, cemetery lot, and grave opening and closing. Local people donated the money for the grave marker. A relative donated the cemetery lot by allowing the child to be buried across the top of an adult grave (family member). I am surprised that a funeral home isn't donating the service for Sylar in the same way.

It is super frustrating to wait for an arrest.

Those I know who work in LE are very hardworking and love to get criminals off the streets.

I want to give LE the benefit of the doubt in this case. I trust that they are busy building an airtight case against the perp(s), and that takes a lot of time to do correctly.

The last thing we want is for them to rush, do a slipshod job of it, and because of that have Sylar's case go unprosecuted.

Another thing to remember is that criminal investigations take lots and lots of money. Lots. If we want things to go faster, we need to be willing to pony up the money for that to happen. Yep, pay more taxes.

My cousin had the same experience when she lost one of her babies... I believe Sylar's could have been donated even in that restricted area that they insisted it be in. I know it could have been in a neighboring area...I have family down there, including an Uncle who owns a funeral home and would have been honored to do it. I have another Aunt and Uncle in real estate who could have found a place for Charity during the time she needed to be there. But no one bothered to ask and when it was brought up to them, they were not at all flexible on the location for either. 30 minutes of gas is a lot less than $500 - $2,000. :twocents:

I personally would have been more than happy to make the quest book and the program for the funeral. I've done programs for several other children. But I very quickly realized that if I wasn't handing over money, they were not interested in my assistance.

There were also other avenues available because he was a murder victim... $5,000 that no one took advantage of.

There is a company here who donates a casket to every child that dies. Whether it's drowning, homicide, car accident. If they hear about it, they will donate a casket to the child. They are an amazing family run business...and every time there is a case like Sylar's I am reminded of them. That there are good people in the world.

There were people in Arizona willing to help if they had bothered to ask, or accept the help that was offered...even if it was not precisely what they wanted. :twocents:

Bump ....

Where is the news for this baby :(

Been checking while on vacation and it saddens me that things are so very quiet... but I am keeping hope that we will hear something soon. I am hoping that this quiet spell is just a matter of making sure every "t" is crossed and every "i" is dotted to a precise point.

bumpity bump!
Yes very frustrating with the lack of news! Very frustrating when they can arrest someone quick in one case and not so quick in others. It seems they have the body (although how can we be sure?), the witnesses and the motive. As I have said before...sometimes they arrest without all this evidence. I do hope they are working quickly and tirelessly (sp?) on this case. I read on the FB page that someone questioned why they would use grandma for the DNA versus the actual mother who was available. Anyone have any ideas on this?

Thank you for posting the link. It drives me crazy when there is no follow up on new items. I live in Arizona and it seems too often there is never any follow up.

There was a Chandler Planning & Zoning Commissioner (Mark Irby) that went missing and was found dead some time later. To my knowledge there has never been any news of his cause of death or other info.

Another high profile case was a woman (Calcia Conway) killed while crawling on the freeway. Scarce little information was ever released about the poor girl.

I keep thinking the same is going to happen to Sylar...that we just will never know more....Thanks to all that is trying to help prevent that from happening!!

Charity has indicated on FB page that DNA should be back this week, but toxicology will be a few more. As we already mentioned in previous posts, remains will not be released to her until they confirm it is him via DNA and they have enough evidence from the remains to make an arrest due to the fact that she is having him cremated. Wait, I've never heard of a person being cremated being buried with a headstone. Everyone I know that has been cremated has been scattered or is sitting in an urn on a shelf in their house.

It's not that uncommon to bury the urn. Urns are placed inside urn vaults, much like a burial vault for a casket only smaller. Those who bury the urn normally purchase a headstone or marker of some sort as well.

If remains are released while there is an ongoing investigation into a person(s) to whom the remains might be released to, there's no guarantee that further or future analysis of the remains will be possible.

I imagine that is why this investigation is taking so long?

(And o/t- but people do bury urns all the time. There are memorial gardens/graveyards entirely devoted to this.)

There are many people who have there urns buried or put in a (columbarium),

I for one have purchased a spot in a (columbarium), which is a wall with spaces to hold the urn and has a brass plate with all the info on it.

It's apparently very common from the responses. I did not know people did that. The people that I know that were cremated were either kept at home or scattered, so I guess I just never knew there were other options. You certainly do learn something every day. Thanks all!

Did you catch his comment on this, he says they had methadone on the trip with them!!!! So, they did not take it at the methadone clinic, they took it at home not at the methadone clinic which is the most usual method.

Also, if you look at Sylar's fb page, CN has stated she is taking the ashes back to indiana with her, the headstone is for a marker in AZ so people have a place to visit to remember him. Also then she mentions that it was too big because it needs to go between her grandmothers headstone and someone elses. Then she says she is not burying him, she is getting him a special urn. So don't know which is really it, this was all by her, so I don't think she knows
