still saying ignore them. LMN had a female body. I don't know the statistics of how many relate as the opposite sex but I don't think the numbers are that high

I agree. If the emailer truly meant transgender rather than intersex then there's no way they could have known that unless they knew the victim so, at this stage, time to move on. She is legally a female no matter what else is in play.

I agree that it doesn't need to be in her wikipedia article and it would be unsustainable to go through every single UID and point out that whilst they are genetically male/female, they might have been transgender, unless there was something about their clothing etc that might suggest it.

It doesn't bother me that the wikipedia commenter mentioned it though, and in any case its something useful to have in our minds when looking at UIDs in general.

Anyway lets get back to the topic of the thread and the little girl in our hearts - LMN

Just read the thread, very strange nobody reported a young girl missing. But surely a DNA test needs to be done to see if she matches anyone on Namus, and to test against the more modern database to find a potential relative.

PS in my head she is Little Miss Doe. Nobody should be called Nobody.

I just cross-posted LMN link to this page on the A.J. and Myrisha Campbell missing person WS page. Over there, there is a link to an article that states AJ and Myrisha have a half-brother who has spent decades looking for them.

I don't tend to think that Myrisha is LMN as there are too many things which don't match up. It's not good to raise false hopes.

I think she is a very good match and things line up very well.I think they need to first get DNA from little Miss Nobody and then check DNA with Myrisha to at least ruled her in or out and put Little Miss nobody's DNA in CODIS to see if there are other potential matches.I hope they will do isotope testing on her to maybe get more information on her.Where she was possibly from ect...

Myrisha's vital stats and appearance match up perfectly with LMN.

My doubt lies in the fact that it sounds like her father probably killed her.

That said, she is certainly worthy of being compared via DNA, or at least she would be if we actually had LMN's DNA. Its so frustrating when there is no way to make comparisons!

my concern is that if we go to all the effort in the assumption that LMN is Myrisha and it turns out that it's not her? Myrisha's family will be devastated all over again

It also brings us back to LMN's dyed hair and nail polish.

I do understand very much that if a Jane Doe is not the family member they will be devastated all over again. But I also understand they want answers.I just want to know what happened to them. Are they alive or dead?I just want to know.It is relief knowing the Jane Doe was not their family member. But they will keep searching to find that person. They have to.I know there are times when they exhumed and got DNA from a Jane Doe that it did not match the person they were checking for a possible match. But when the Jane Does DNA was put in CODIS it did match someone else. There was a type of closure for another family member.

While i could see Myrisha's father/abductor dyeing her hair to disguise her, the nail polish is less explainable.
Also, why go to all the trouble of disguising her, only to kill her (the dye job and polish were recent and not faded or cracked)

Sadly, thats just how life is for the loved ones of the missing. Its part of why it is such a hearbreaking situation to be in.

However, as I am sure that most (if not all) of the families/friends of the missing who post on Websleuths will attest, it is better to have potential leads and for their case to continue to be investigated, than to just not bother in an effort to save themselves the heartbreak.

From what I know about the half siblings of little Myrisha and her missing brother, they are prepared to bravely put themselves through potential heartbreak again and again to ensure that their sister and brother are not lost forever.

I don't know why her hair was dyed.I personally feel like who ever this little girl was she was trying to be like who ever woman figure was in her life or that woman figure fixed her up? But why the cut down mans flip flops? I just don't know.I know my little girl used to love makeup and nail polish ect....The difference is and I may be different from other people.I did not let her leave the house that way.

It might be worth contacting KYCA-AM and see if they kept anything relating to their LMN coverage and campaign. It might also be worth contacting the family of Dave Palladin, the KYCA-AM announcer who spearheaded the LMN coverage/campaign to see if there is anything of LMN interest in his papers, if his family kept them.

I'm really upset that someone on Wiki has accused me of "murderporn" for giving LMN her due on WP.

A little late, but I personally this that the makeup and hairdye are very unusual for a girl of that age and during that time. Even today a girl that young dying or tinting her hair is considerably odd. Red nailpolish was a trend in the 50's, but from what I know and from quick research, the color red still signified sex and sexual deviancy, and red nail polish was considered permiscuous. I can't imagine a girl this young wearing it would be normal. I'm guess it was a fetish type thing. Especially since she was wearing cut down men's flip flops. Possibly her abducters shoes, that he put on her? Maybe so she wouldn't hurt her feet walking in the woods, or another fetish sort of thing?
