This whole bankruptcy has me thoroughly confused. If baez can't prove that she owes him the 500K (which we all know she doesn't owe him), then is she still eligible for Chapter 7?
Also, when her debts are added up, she can only claim what she actually owes people right? Because at this point, we have no idea how much she could potentially owe creditors like Kronk, Zenaida and Tim Miller. How can the bankruptcy happen when they don't even have a definitive amount that she owes ALL of her creditors?
Is that the ruling that we are waiting for? To determine if the civil suits have to happen before they allow her to dismiss her debts?
Like I said ... thoroughly confused.
The next bankruptcy Hearing is on May 30, 2013.
The judge should rule on Zenaida and Kronk's civil cases to move forward in either state court/Orlando [as they want], or in federal court/Tampa [as Casey Anthony wants], or to be dismissed completely.
The judge indicated in the April 9, 2013 Hearing that Zenaida and Kronk civil suits must be completed before the judge can determine if they are actual creditors in Casey Anthony's bankruptcy case. The details of how the civil cases will continue has not been ruled on yet.
Zenaida and Kronk want the civil cases held in Orlando where the cases have already been initiated.
Casey Anthony's attorneys want the civil cases thrown out completely by the bankruptcy judge, or held in the bankruptcy court because they say FCA cannot get a fair trial in Orlando or the whole Ninth Circuit because of Judge Perry's comments on the TODAY SHOW.
Tim Miller/Texas EquuSearch has a separate action going on in the bankruptcy court, asking the bankruptcy judge to NOT allow Casey Anthony to discharge his civil case debt.

However, the judge did say that he wants those civil trials to proceed. The judge said he can't consider Gonzalez or Kronk as creditors unless state court rules that their reputations were ruined by Anthony.
All of the civil suits against Anthony were put on hold when she filed for bankruptcy.

Casey Anthony civil trial must go on before bankruptcy case

Casey Anthony will have to head back to civil court after a bankruptcy judge ruled Tuesday that a jury needs to decide if she ruined the reputations of Zenaida Gonzalez and meter reader Roy Kronk.
Attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez said they are now working to get a new trial date set.
Casey Anthony's civil trial was put on hold when she filed for bankruptcy in January. But at a hearing Tuesday, a bankruptcy judge said the case needs to get figured out in civil court first, to see if there even is a case for bankruptcy.
Gonzalez's attorneys said their goal is to have a trial date set by October.
