Can the pool be observed by the neighbors? If so, did they report seeing Casey/Caylee in the pool?
If Caylee was left by Casey in the pool to drown, would the neighbors have been able to hear her cries? Or perhaps Casey knocked her out with a blow (self-defense searches) or a drug and simply dropped her in, maybe duct-taping her mouth in case she came to and screamed. Any thoughts on this?

If Casey was abused, and doing "everything thing she could" to protect her child...why didn't she get a job and take Caylee out of that house? Or get TWO jobs like many single Mothers do...and forego partying. What could be more important to an Abuse Survivor than protecting her child from abuse?

Especially considering that she had a friend, Amy, who was really looking forward to living with her and Caylee. KC had the perfect opportunity to split the living expenses with a friend.

All she needed to do was a get a real job and she could live with super cool Amy and have the beautiful life. But the part about "work" bummed her out, I suppose.

yes - and I'm sure in Florida drownings are on the news often. It would be a normal (for lack of a better word) tragedy that would have worked IN Casey's favor...accidents don't need cover up unless it wasn't an accident. I used to think that Caylee drowned while Casey wasn't paying attention to her and Casey found the body in scary shape in the pool (it was obviously not a recent drowning - a few hours had passed) so she had to cover up her neglect but that theory does not marry up with the computer searches & the chloroform found in the trunk.

When this first hit the airwaves 3 years ago didn't Inmate say that there was a letter from Zannie ? stating that they would bring Caylee back in 50 days or something like that ?

Here's what gets confusing. Did ICA or one of her direct people such as LA say that, or was that story yet another LP bullplop tall tale? I seem to remember that pretty much anything involving J Blanchard Park, ZFG's sister and the written script was all LP nonsense. I don't think it ever was actually confirmed by LE. I could be wrong on this however.

How many of those drowning victims are removed...without any effort at resuscitation...their mouth and nose swathed in duct tape...and left to rot in a garbage laden swamp? How many of their Mothers then party for 31 days and lie for three years?

Drowning is a common and sadly simple death among children. Casey is not stupid. In three years time , she could have "ugly-coped" herself into telling the truth...if that WERE the truth.

Her determination to stick to the Zanny story...even telling Tony she was a terrible Mother for trusting Zanny..makes no sense if she could have TRUTHFULLY said..."I turned my back for a minute and she drowned." Would Tony not have found THAT sympathetic? As the Mother of a drowned child...Casey might have found many sympathetic friends to turn to...even if Cindy and George blamed her. If the truth was simple and would have "worked" for her...we would have heard not long after she was jailed.

The Zanny the Nanny fantasy was necessary because the truth was NOT simple like drowning..it was horrific, like murder.

Exactly. If the drowning would have worked, or could have worked, she would have used that.

Even if there were no chloroform or computer searches or partying or stealing or stories about Zenaida, a drowned child should still not have duct tape wrapped around its face. A child should not have duct tape wrapped around its face for any reason.

How do you get past that? (Aside or in addition to being tossed in the woods as well?).

I thought about that as well but IMO she would have dumped her body somewhere else if she was hoping to stage a kidnapping. It seems unlikely that a kidnapping nanny would return the child's body so close to her home.

That doesn't help KC's defense at all though because in 100% of those cases the accidental drowning is reported and 100% of the time the person who finds them doesn't cover it up and desecrate the child's body and then go partying for a month.

Yes, and she admits on tape to doing those things in the two years after Caylee's birth. She admits at the Universal interrogation to taking Cindy's credit cards and taking lots of money to buy a lot of "nothing".

and in her next breath she said that she lied and stole because she would do anything to find her child, all the time knowing her kid was dead. so self serving, so nauseating, so typically casey.

I'm sure these have been posted already, but just watching the tapes on HLN's coverage I'm wondering how JB will explain a few things.

When Cindy called 911 about the stolen car and it eventually came out there was also a missing child and the 911 operator asked to speak to Casey.....Casey clearly said in the background "I don't have anything to say to them." Doesn't that say it all? Even after the 31 days, after Casey admitted to Cindy that she didn't know where Caylee was for the previous 31 days....Casey thinks she can just say "I don't want to talk"? And....and what? It will all just go away? Cindy, George and Lee will just go on with their lives like Caylee never existed and they don't need to find her?

And another ridiculous thing about his theory that George molested Casey, had control over Casey enough to keep her from telling Cindy that Caylee drowned in the pool because Cindy "will never forgive you and you will go to jail for the rest of your frickin life for child neglect". And here I thought MY Mom was scary. Cindy must be one scary Momma because the needle to put Casey to sleep f.o.r.e.v.e.r. apparently looks like a better option than the wrath of Cindy?

Exactly!! And why would the family let KC actually go on trial for her very life if it was truly an accident.

GA, being former LE, would know that if Caylee truely drowned accidentally, most likely ICA would have been charged with child neglect at most, following a CPS investigation. (I don't think they charged Eric Clapton's wife with anything when his little boy fell to his death from a 53rd floor window, although they did investigate the building's owner for not having guards/bars on the windows....) For the Anthonys, this would have been a horrible family tragedy which, in reality, would never have spiraled out of control like in JB's ridiculous fairy tale.

I could not agree more. Dr G testified that in 100% of ALL CHILD DROWNINGS that come through her morgue (and as she mentions in the State of Florida child drownings are frequent) 911 was called. 100% That is powerful evidence/testimony to me.

If Casey and her defense team already knew for a fact that Caylee had drowned would they still have allowed a medical examiner to break her skull open? Seems like they would not have needed a second autopsy as they would have already known cause of death.

:great: Very excited, after 3 years of reading my make my first websleuths post. For me the biggest hole in the defense theory is George. If Jose had said Caylee drowned in the pool and Casey panicked and hid the body. If he had stopped there, I think he may have had a shot. The minute he added George to the story, and threw out the sexual abuse as an excuse, any hope he had of pulling off this defense went out the window. IMHO
